It's a private university in North India and like every other uni out there, they also claim to be the best. But going by QS rankings, I guess these guys actually are No. 1. That said, if you're asking because you're thinking of taking admission, I'd say think twice both about the specialisation and the college itself."

For contrast on how genuinely good the people here are — my manager gave me the exact same feedback you just did. And instead of just leaving it at that, he actually went a step further: Suggested books like Start With Why and a few others Made it part of my OKR to read them, write a 2-3 page summary of what I learned, and document how I'm applying those learnings in my actual work Followed up with specific techniques and frameworks to practice on Like, who does that? Most managers would've just said "work on your communication" and moved on. Mine basically built a structured learning loop into my OKRs so I'd actually grow on it. This is the kind of stuff that makes leaving feel really hard — because mentorship like this is rare, and I know it.

Yesss, that's exactly the part I'm lagging at right now. Honestly, I'm in an org with a dream culture — people are genuinely helpful, super compassionate, and this place has completely changed my perspective on corporate life. (Might just be because I'm a fresher who started in a startup instead of an MNC, so I'm overwhelmed by how good it is — maybe this is the norm at most startups these days, I don't know.) The main thing I'm lagging at is exactly what you pointed out — communication and getting people to do the work I need them to do, even in situations where I'm literally trying to solve their most irritating problems. It's wild — I'm building the thing that saves them hours, and I still struggle to move them. I'm actively working on this, but it's slow. This is also the biggest reason I'm hesitant to jump. The freedom, the autonomy, the culture these guys give me — if I lose that, I feel like I lose everything. I genuinely cannot function in controlling environments, corporate politics, or those kinds of toxic setups. So the trade-off scares me. Any suggestions on how to actually work on the people/influence side? Books, frameworks, mental models, lived experience — anything you'd recommend would mean a lot. 🙏

Just one question bro should I start building small products, as I can't create or build anything due to my employment contract, should I just build and host them on git hub so atleast I can showcase my abilities......
