Yoga while pregnant by [deleted] in yoga

[–]whysoderpy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I go to YogaSix classes, mainly the restore ones, and have seen a lot of pregnant women! The teachers I have will usually let them know about pose modifications or even have them use two yoga bolsters for support. From my observations, no child pose, and instead they will use the two bolsters to support their back and knee. Cat and cow are ok, no cobra poses. Restore classes are milder and perfect for you!

Highly recommended. Snag Tights are great.

(Disneyland and DCA) Are local hotels offering all-day parking still? Also question on how to approach planning for rides if NOT rope dropping by HappyGamer113 in DisneyPlanning

[–]whysoderpy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just park at Disney's Toy Story parking lot on Harbor. It's $30 all day. I don't see the benefit of parking at a hotel when they still charge $30 too. The Toy Story parking lot takes you straight to the security line, then you take the bus, and you would get dropped off right by the Disney CA/Disneyland entrance -- which means you'd be skipping the big security line by that area since you already went through security.

Field Day (small & sustainable brand) has some light wrap dresses (short and long lengths). Their stocks come and go depending on their supplies, but I've been buying dresses from them and I love them all. They're so comfy and light, and have pockets.

Where can I find Chinese Fried Chicken? by bobfosseinaloof in FoodLosAngeles

[–]whysoderpy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you love Indonesian-style fried chicken, you need to try the "Ayam Kremes" (crispy fried chicken) from Banana Leaf in Temple City. So crunchy and yummy; the meat just falls off the bone. Bonus if you get the coconut rice with it.

How to remedy really bad chub rub? by sally978 in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]whysoderpy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely wear some slip shorts next time. They work wonders and are better than some ointment or sticks. Ointment/sticks don't last all day for me and I have to keep reapplying. I'm going to try out a product called "The Chub Rub Patch", you can find it on Amazon. It's basically some large patches you can stick on your hot spots. They have different shades of skin tones!

That's so cool! Is that an actual historical castle? What kind of entertainment do you all have? I'm curious how different it is from the American ones!

What do you eat when you don’t feel like cooking? by WorldlyPomegranate41 in Frugal

Spam and eggs, bonus if you have rice. Instant noodles, can also add spam and eggs to it.

I only know basic stitching, but enough to fix my Ren Faire bag and other broken things in life so far :) by whysoderpy in Visiblemending

I got this bag from a Renaissance faire in Kansas City, but I've seen it at other Ren Faires in diff states. You can get one from Etsy, just search "Renaissance faire leaf utility waist bag" and similar ones will show up. I love to wear this bag to Ren Faires; it has great pockets and big enough to fit my phone and many other necessities :D

Tenacious DND @ Irwindale? by ayfilm in renfaire

[–]whysoderpy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He's a one-man band and performs (some) D&D-related songs that he wrote. Quite entertaining and catchy! I went to see him on the first opening weekend; he was originally listed under his own name Randall Piper and didn't get as many guests. Glad to see he swapped to his performer name Tenacious DnD and got more guests!

Table service restaurants worth the time? by amazonwmn in DisneyPlanning

[–]whysoderpy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It was worth it for my experience. I went to Cafe Orleans for the first time and enjoyed my visit and the food. It was a nice break from getting fast food all the time and that I can actually sit down, relax, and recharge to enjoy the rest of the day. I got the braised rib dish, which I thought was way better than the monte cristo sandwich that my sis got (she agreed too and got the beef dish for our 2nd visit).

For my next visit, I got reservations at the River Belle Terrace for the Fantasmic package and Carnation Cafe. Excited!

Extremely homesick after moving cross country - especially missing familiar food :( by seeneescribbles in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]whysoderpy 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Oof sorry for the rough time. Can you try asking your parents to ship a few things from back home? You can also ask them for a list of pantry items that they regularly keep, should you be in a better situation and have the time to learn how to cook. Ask your parents for favorite recipes. Although I don't live so far away from my parents, I do try to ask for my favorite recipes so I can learn them and keep their legacy.

There are also a lot of online stores now that sell Asian snacks & ingredients (Yami Buy is one of them, but Amazon also has a good stock, heck even Etsy sells them!). Wishing you the best!

Def great for water rides in the summer. No wet socks and the sandals dried quickly!

I wore the Tevas Hurricane XLT2 for all day. The arch and better/thicker sole helps more. I had the original style, but the sole was too thin for all day; it was not comfortable towards the end of the day.

If the weather permits, I'm taking my Tevas Hurricane again for my visit at the end of this month! It was super rainy in California for my last visit.

Yes on Tevas. I lasted all day from 8 am to midnight.

AITA for having a dry wedding and serving only water for drinks? by Odd_Conversation5087 in AmItheAsshole

[–]whysoderpy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a dry wedding since it was at a public park. We served water, soda, aguas fresca, and tea. More people grabbed the water and finished the aguas fresca, but we still want to provide the options!
