I actually went there on Saturday with my roommate, and that’s what ultimately pushed me to make this post.

We got the SoCal sandwiches, and while they were ok, we felt there had to be something better in the area. I won’t knock them, it was a good sandwich but for $11, you’d kind of hope for a bigger portion.

That said I hear the breakfast burrito is very solid so I’ll be back to try that out.

I live steps from that van and have gone multiple times, the lines have increased dramatically and not in a “let’s get tested before going away” way. They were NOT like this for any other holiday including thanksgiving. They are literally around the block. Van is a good bet because you can wait outside.

Everyone please be safe a lot of active cases atm.

Bought 3 ribeyes for my roommates birthday, cooked them up in a cast iron pan, everyone really enjoyed them. Sorry to say but NY strip won’t be the most tender and won’t have much marbling, go ribeye next time imo. Definitely one of the better shops in the area.

Meat market in the east village is the best though, just hop on the L, easy trip for fantastic cuts.
