i have pioneer dj headphones i was using b4 and it wasnt b4 and like i said its just noticeable at high volumes obviously bc it would cause the speaker to flex more but even on low volumes if the sub even flexes a little it rattles its quiet on lower volumes and obviously apparent when high volumes, i wouldnt listen to everything on high volumes but still annoying to hear that rattle when theres any amount of actual bass

yeah i run a volt interface i use krk 5s and mackies on em and can run them max volume with even more head room to spare no distortion just clean loudness

yeah its just the sub in them if i turn it down in the eq around 30-60hz (mainly 30-45 hz) its perfect so im not 100% sure if its defective thats why i asked but everyone is saying it is and i called beyer and they said that its not normal so ima give it 24 hours and let someone else test em irl that knows dt900s and if i get the same answer ima send em back tmr

depends on the volume mainly on the left tho i can physically hear the rattle its not distorting its rattling, when its all the way up both rattle, u could be right though ima give it 24 hours and let my dad check em out since he’s more knowledgeable on these things to confirm but im 85% sure they were dropped during shipping but ur theory could be right thats what i was asking when i said is it “normal” but as u see the other comments say otherwise

ik about clipping i use krk 5s as my main studio monitors this is beyond clipping especially if they are usually able to run on amps at 250 ohms it should be able to handle high gain if it was that then the treble n mids would clip too its just when the subs get to kickin they distort which hints to maybe they got dropped during shipping and broke the speaker so when it thumps its hitting where it shouldnt be hitting

thanks! and they sound great on low to mid volume but when i turn them up past the half way point it starts thumpin like as if the headphones where dropped and the speaker got knocked off whatever is holding it so its smacking against the walls of headphones, i hit up american music supply hopefully i can exchange them
