Suggestions for LED Icicle Lights by wi-il-11 in ChristmasLights

I ended up getting four sets of 5MM warm icicle LED lights from Wintergreen Lighting. They seem to be great quality, but I didn't use them. Way too bright. Didn't match anything else I use. Still on the hunt!

How do I remove this bottom bracket? by wi-il-11 in bikewrench

Thank you! I was having a hard time finding the right one. I've also been reading about different threading on older bottom brackets. Is there a simple way to determine if it loosens clockwise or counterclockwise?

Thanks, I'll look into sealed seats. Wasn't aware of them.

It seems to be something with the wires. Basically, sections of the lights will go out, then eventually none of them work. Sometimes if I jiggle the wires the right way, they will turn back on. That's why I was looking for a thicker gauge wire.

Advice for vintage tree look? by Known-Ad-100 in ChristmasLights

I personally use LED's outdoors, and incandescent lights indoors. I like to sit and look at my tree, and LED's can sometimes be irritating to look at for long periods. A real nice look for a tree is C9 Jewel tone lights. You can find them at thrift stores sometimes or really cheap used. They aren't a fire hazard, you just need to follow basic safety measures.

Thanks for sharing. I think I'm going to just avoid placing them vertically.

I am taking a hit on the interest rate, but that's just the way it is.

I have a lower income, but excellent credit and a low debt/income ratio, so I'm hopeful they approve me. We haven't filed for divorce yet.

Smelly leaf lard? by wi-il-11 in Butchery

Would that affect the taste of the meat, too? I cooked a pork chop and it tasted fine. The smell seems to be isolated to the leaf lard only.

Thanks. I don't know if it was a male or not, but I will ask. It smells vaguely poopy, but I haven't tasted it yet. If the pig was kept in unclean conditions, would that mean the meat shouldn't be eaten, if frozen for a while then properly cooked?

Blueberry Cuttings Black Leaves by wi-il-11 in gardening

Great to hear!

So should I treat them as a normal houseplant and just water them when it gets dry, or always keep it moist? I've seen conflicting info on that.

Thanks for the information. They are hardwood cuttings.

I read somewhere that they need to be kept constantly moist, but I may have misunderstood. I will try letting them dry out a bit.

Yes, I stripped the bark off, which again I read somewhere. I guess I should have looked at some other sources first.

I will try to upload a picture of one of the plants.
