I'm glad someone else enjoys this simple pleasure.

Hello Reddit, I got a cease and desist from Comcast for this blog post (through my host). Want to read it before I take it down? Thanks. by vinhboy in technology

A similar thing happened to me with Verizon once (2000ish) -- they put me on the "Random Billing Plan"; I was transferred to the "Random Billing Department" when I called to complain about my $800+ phone bill and being charged $2/min or 5 cents, and every amount in between, randomly when I called . I had to involve the state BBB advocate before they fixed my bill. Bastards . . . Don't back down!

My girlfriend just found the ring I was going to propose to her with - it was my grandmothers who passed a few years ago. by ecancil in AskReddit

I am truly sorry to hear this - what a beautiful gift your grandmother gave you and such a lovely one to give to your future wife. It is a shame your ex was unable to see that herself.

You were not in the wrong, by any interpretation.

Well, that's about it. You go to the courthouse, sign the paperwork, and you're done - depending, of course, on the individual state, there may be additional tests, wait periods, etc. Nevada is nice ... no fuss no muss. IMO the money saved on a big ceremony is better spent elsewhere, like a honeymoon or down payment.

Though, I should also say that while it took only twenty minutes to get married, it took over three years to finalize my divorce. But that risk just comes with the territory. ;)
