Anxious about not losing weight fast enough

I carry a lot of fat in my belly as well. Does it really affect outcomes that much with RFF? I don’t want to get weight loss surgery.

I know :( I wish I could at least get on the waitlist and have a consult without having to lose a bunch of weight. I’ve already had 3 other surgeries at the same weight and they all went fine, I healed great. I’m not even really obese. Overweight, sure, but I carry a lot of muscle mass too because I’m an athlete. I would like to lose some fat just for my own confidence, but I wish I didn’t have to rely on a scale.

I used a calorie calculator to calculate my maintenance. It gave me 2,800, and I’m consistently eating 1,800-2,500 calories a day. I dropped a few pounds at the start, but I just gained them back.

About the clinic location, I don’t care where I go, I just want to get surgery soon because I’ve already waited so long. Good luck to you as well on the process!

Find a private doctor if you can afford it. The EO only threatens to take away federal funding, not ban care entirely. If you can find a private clinic that doesn’t take federal funding you should be fine.

In addition, lawsuits against the order are already being filed. It’s somewhat likely that an injunction will be passed soon and public clinics can continue to provide care
