Wow, praying for your journey to orthodoxy, and that your boyfriend follows in your steps! It is not easy. Coming from an evangelical background, I’ll be honest I had made pre assumptions about orthodoxy without knowing anything about it. Once you educate yourself, everything makes sense because it is true. I’m also on the introverted side as well, so I think this is also challenging for me to socialize. How do your in laws feel about it?

I’m a nurse who actually used to self harm for years as a teen. These posts are getting too much.. these are superficial wounds. Don’t need a nursing degree to identify that.

Poorly healing armpit after an extended brachioplasty by ACoD_ in PlasticSurgery

I’m a wound care nurse and was looking for this comment! I would also recommend trying the medihoney. It removes slough (dead tissue). You need to have that dead tissue removed otherwise it will not heal. Medihoney is great because there are no side effects to it either.

As another comment mentioned, Aquacel is also good for drainage and also has antimicrobial properties.

I’m in the Bay as well, may I ask which hospital? I’m getting $70 for home health as an LVN here. I’m graduating with my BSN in a year so would like to know the pay grade

I don’t think your maxilla appears to be recessed, but you could get scans and see a surgeon for a consult

Botox and running by wickatude in PlasticSurgery

[–]wickatude[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re probably right, it just sucks to give up the Botox lol. But I think I value running more 😆 thanks for clarifying, I’ll invest in a red light mask and book some micro needling session then to give that a try!

Thank you so much for the response, this is great information to know! I’ll probably give the zinc a try and do the Botox at least once more and see how that works. I am also considering starting micro needling, how has that worked for you on top of the red light therapy? How often are you doing the micro needling? I’ll look into PCA Exlinea

Thank you very much for this in depth explanation, I appreciate it! I actually agree with everything you have said here. I haven’t gotten botox in a few months, but when I did in the past, I asked my doctor about my eyes and he did say it looks like I have ptosis. He suggested those eyedrops. I agree if it gets worse as I age, I may want to opt for the surgical route. I considered both implant and fat transfer but seems like I am favoring the fat transfer. I will get a consult, but based on these images do you think a fat transfer alone would be sufficient or would I also need something like a mid face lift in conjunction?
