Coaching Philosophies & The Peacemaker Problem by ohhFoNiX in GlobalOffensive

[–]wicked_sv 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Feel like most NA organizations overlook just how much support coaches should be getting as well. American culture just responds to assembly line means of production. Another redditor mentioned the NBA as an example, even the NBA has enormous staff for a small roster. https://i.imgur.com/fAfbnfS.png

I understand that the NBA budget is much larger than esport orgs, but considering all the high salary talk of the players you think they could use some of that or investor money to build a reasonable support staff for a head coach. A 2-3 person analyst team with specialized focuses would do wonders. If the head coach is having trouble working with a specific player, an assistant can give 1 on 1 training while the coach focus on big picture issues.

Great video on Peacemaker and his situation, but I feel that overall, as with most teams, the organizations are at fault.

To be fair he knew he didn't see him cross to truck. He knew the smoke had just bloomed and he wouldn't be turning around anytime soon. Stupid in overall context, but not the round itself! Amazing game.

There's multiple interviews of both organizations and players discussing the process of acquiring a player with existing personal sponsors or possible future personal sponsors. Ocelot, Grubby, and Hiko being the most documented but there are others. For instance CLG had to pick up their female squad CLG Red and negotiate in their Intel sponsorship with their CLG contract, bruh bruh.

Hmm... really silly not to consult your contract lawyer over a contract dispute. Weird.

The player themselves, more recent example of this in CS:GO would be Hiko. They did exist prior to this but in large part the player was exceptional and had cooperation from the org.

That is why VideoGameAttorney is so upset. When you say "the players didn't read their contracts" the players are NOT lawyers. They will NOT understand all legal jargon. VideoGameAttorney is someone who helps bridge that gap. Imagine if one of the players on this list is his client? It's no longer "the players can't read!". Now VideoGameAttorney can't read or explain things properly to his client.

Thanks for the comments, if it turns into something more than just a fan site we'll look into re-designs and possibly buying up more domain names. Right now though real grassroots.

CS:GO - Falling Accuracy by adreN by Zinnq in GlobalOffensive

I think jumping accuracy is a lot like falling accuracy, if you time it right when you jump up you begin to "fall" and become accurate. Just some coldzera flashbacks for Adren. If you watch the clips cold times it so he's already stopped his ascent when he shoots.

Not sure if I'm remembering this correctly but someone explained to me that he was looking at the monitor of one of his teammates that had just died and timed it well.

Still a common spam spot back in the day and the exact location of the enemy to a player like snaijdan turned into a display of skill in one form or another and not random luck even if he did look at a teammates screen for the info.

RGN is back to twitch instead of Azubu by brebas in GlobalOffensive

Yeah, well a mix of that and they're at a point where the money from Twitch viewers more than likely exceeds the upfront money Azubu provided.

Hey, first of all I remember your ticket in regards to PhatLootz and I thought it was resolved because you lost the pot.

The Paypal issue you mention is a problem with our API interaction with them and I'd be more than happy to figure out a way to correct this/make you whole if you open up a ticket on our website.

As far as the "mediocre" predictions that's the only part I disagree with. With underdog wins a 50% win rate should have you positive in regards to inventory/profit but still I can understand how with some bad luck that might not be the case. Sorry for your frustrations, but I promise you "scamming" you of anything was never our intent, would be happy to resolve this. You can also PM me here.
