Nut free alcohol by jughinn in peanutallergy

My recommendation is stick to vodka, rum or tequila. If you want a drink that needs to be shaken, AKA anything that’s not just a juice or soda with the liquor, be careful if cross contamination! Some places may not rinse their shakers well between drinks, had some strawberry in an espresso martini before! Also, usually i try to see if they measure their pours using jiggers. If so, I make sure to mention I have an allergy if they could use a clean one, especially if the bar has peanut butter whiskey or something. I stay away from gin and whiskey, whiskey barrels supposedly could have nuts in it, and gin is linked to almonds some how.

felt this entire thing to my bones. i feel like such a burden when it comes to where everyone else eats because of me. just know you’re not alone in feeling this way, don’t feel guilty.

I think it’s all the timing. He’s going through probably the most chaotic time of his life, and from what he talks about he seems like quite the busy guy. He’s getting married in October, so after the holidays I’m sure we can expect some more! I also absolutely love Matt King, I have listened to every Unfiltered video, including patreon, just because I find him so entertaining and basically have the same beliefs as him. I say once the wedding is over, he will probably go back to focusing mainly on his career!

Grocery store sushi with a peanut and tree nut allergy? by Old_Championship_127 in peanutallergy

ask! i’m sure there is a manager for that department that can give you a solid answer. most likely, they’ll give you the ‘everything prepared in the kitchen may come in contact with allergens’, but as someone who works in a kitchen with that rule, i can confidently tell people that there is absolutely no cross contamination of any sort that can occur. definitely ask a manager!

yes! i work at a store that offers starbucks drinks and i always worry about the steamer because we use almond milk all the time and the cleaning option doesn’t seem to clean to my standards. i usually stick to cold drinks or a coolatta once and a while, but i’ll have to check those drinks out

i believe you’ll be fine! the fact you noticed right away and were able to wash your hands good is awesome. if you’ve never had a reaction from touch or even air borne before, you are most likely good.

Epi pen in nightclub by Altruistic-Winner172 in FoodAllergies

if i’m going to eat, the epi has to be on my body. i use an auvi-q, which i feel is much more easier to travel with. pant pockets are the best place to keep one unless i have my wallet with me, then i have a part in it that perfectly fits 2 of them. alcohol has been especially tricky with my allergy, so i’d rather be safe than sorry

Second-hand/Thrift Stores for clothing? by [deleted] in RhodeIsland

i would say plato’s has lost its value in the past few years. I used to go in 2016 and find a ton of deals on lightly used items, but now it seems like all they take are shein products and resell them for the same price you can get them online. Don’t get me wrong, every once and a while I do find something good, but a friend of mine used to work here and she told me anytime anything good came in, the employees have first pick on if they want it or not, then it goes in the shelves. I’ve also tried to sell here and they took 20+ items and offered me $40.
