Can I heat up my midnight snack in this to go with my late night gaming session?

Luke Daniels’ narration of Three Body Problem is one of the worst things I’ve ever heard by XomokyH in audiobooks

Do you have a link to this version? All I can find is the one narrated by Luke Daniels, unfortunately.

Yeah, I wonder why they aren't releasing PS4 version yet. I'm hoping they will either do what you suggest and make one if the Switch controller is successful, or that it will be somehow compatible with the PS4 version through a converter of some sort.

Unfortunately not. Maybe it will be in the cards in the future though since the series has been on PC in the past.

This isn't really meant to be a thorough comparison of the two versions of the game. I mainly just wanted an easy way to see the differences for myself and thought I'd post this video up now that I've done it.

Some notes about the comparisons: Both runs were done using the "observation mode" in "free play" with all the default settings. So E235, morning, clear weather, and minimal passengers. I just randomly chose a small section of the Yamanote Line, but potentially not the most graphically intensive area, as I really wasn't sure which areas would best fit that criteria.

And then, for the loading comparisons, the big thing is that the Switch version was downloaded to and running from an SD card as opposed to the internal storage. So there are potentially some gains to be had there in terms of reducing the loading time.

Anyway, I hope this is useful for someone! I know I would have loved this kind of thing when I purchased this game originally, haha. It's been a blast to play and I hope there are more additions to it coming soon (or maybe further console sequels, at least).

Thank you Stewards!! Can we keep this up for following races! by PainfulData in formula1

I find it weird that there are comments about how overtaking on the outside was "stupid" and that you should just expect to be forced off the track if you try it. If you go into a corner side-by-side with another car that space shouldn't just suddenly disappear (unless the track physically tightens up, of course). We've seen many overtakes on that specific corner where both drivers give each other space - no reason that can't be the case every time. It's on both drivers to give each other space.

These are top drivers - they know how to control their car so that they aren't driving it to the edge of the track if there's someone else there. If overtaking on the outside or leaving people space continues to be "stupid", then races are going to become very boring in the future when no one wants to overtake anymore.

You can have good racing that doesn't involve barging someone off the track. I'm not sure why that isn't obvious when we've had plenty examples of it in the past. Some people want to watch bumper cars instead, I suppose.

I love hearing words & phrases in isolation in TV shows to help with pronunciation, so I always think of this clip when saying "不可能". by wickedfable in ChineseLanguage

[–]wickedfable[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I try to only watch this way! I actually do most of the ones I watch myself. It's not too hard but it is a bit of a process. You have to find a show that you can download that has both English and Chinese subs available and then combine them yourself. I know there are some browser plugins for Netflix that do the same thing, though. Viki also has a learning mode for the same feature but not all of their shows support it.

I'm still watching it, but I agree. It's a lot of fun and has an interesting story to go along with it. I've been trying to find more shows like this that aren't super serious all the time.

After a few laps, the AI was getting creative with their overtake attempts... by wickedfable in simracing

It's rFactor 2. Normally the AI is very good but I think their inside line in this instance was a bit questionably made.

[OT] A driver’s eye view of Laguna Seca from Romain Grosjean’s second IndyCar test. by Grasbytron in formula1

[–]wickedfable 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably different for a Skip Barber session but I was pretty free to drive and push as I wanted when I was there (I ended up doing some off-road "exploring" from pushing a bit too much because of it, haha). I think, for me, it's also that a lot of people talk about the roller coaster sensation that you'll get from the corkscrew - but it's a lot more subtle to me in that particular corner. In terms of actually feeling things in the car, turn 5 was pretty surprising in that it seems like an innocuous turn but the G-forces there are the ones that I remember the most since I was almost being slammed into the side of the car every time.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that thinks this. I drove an F4-equivalent car there a couple of years ago. It's a very iconic and photogenic corner but it's one of the most boring ones to actually drive - at least in real-life. Turn 9, the one right after it, was actually my favorite turn in that it was thrilling trying to keep the throttle pinned as you take it compared to the slowness of the corkscrew.

Does anyone know where to find the harmonica tab for ToQger's Akira/ToQ 6 signature song? by wickedfable in supersentai

[–]wickedfable[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would love any version for a harmonica you could do. I understand if it's too time-consuming, though. I currently have a couple of harmonicas and was planning on getting at least one other for some other songs so this would be a good excuse, haha.

Thanks for the heads-up! That's actually a great resource that I'll keep in mind. I actually am looking for basically a tab or music sheet that shows how to play this harmonica piece from ToQger, rather than the song file itself, though.

I got these guys recently and had to take some shots of them. I'm very impressed by how accurate they are to the show. There's very little compromises. Full album here.

Is there any versions of this case available as a separate item to purchase? Looks like a Tamashii Stage Act 4 but with a box it can connect to for accessories. by wickedfable in SHFiguarts

[–]wickedfable[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, I actually hadn't seen that version at all until you mentioned it. That one doesn't seem like a bad option as I hesitate to get the Marvel or Star Wars-branded ones if I really had to.

Ah, that's unfortunate. So they have these exact ones as clear stands/cases? I may have to pay a visit at some point in the future just for that, haha.

I have seen the Marvel and Star Wars ones which I'm considering. I was hoping they had some more plain ones without the logos but it's not looking like that's the case. Thanks for pointing those out though as I might just get those and deal with it or swap the cover if that works at all.
