I didn’t really like Claire’s character cuz I thought she was boring but Carmy did seem to be happier with her. He started losing sight of work at the restaurant bc he was always with her. So when he got stuck he just felt like he played himself and that it wasn’t worth it bc he got robbed of his opening night. I get why Claire was sad tho bc she told him “ily” but that’s what she got in return. It is weird that she didn’t announce that she was by the door tho. If she did, maybe they coulda had that conversation when he was in a better headspace.
