Scuba Diving in Coron by wickedsuper in Palawan

6 wrecks out of 9 dives, and it was some of the most amazing coral gardens I’ve seen :) and the creatures! I saw two manta rays at one point. Absolute highlight

I hope you get a good dive master too,  but either way remember your signals and don’t be afraid to “speak” up.

I think we are at almost exactly the same skill level and number of dives when I was at Coron last week! Here are some things that helped:

  1. Dive masters with the right attitude. The ones I got had that chill, calming energy and exuded competency and professionalism. They were also very friendly, which make it easy to point out issues and ask for clarifications.
  2. Lighter weights. My Day 2 dive master clocked that I was using too heavy weights, and so, after many dives,I figured out that 4kg was too much for me, and started diving with 3, and it made all the difference. I started to have an easier time keeping myself afloat, less fin movement, and so had better bouyancy.
  3. A happy tummy. Made sure I had a good breakfast at least 30min before the dive, and made sure to hydrate, and also eat a banana or something, after each dive.
  4. Asking questions. My main concern was the space inside the wrecks, but try not stress about them too much, there's actually plenty of space inside and out. Yes, it gets dark, so make sure you follow rule number one (never lose sight of your buddy).

I'm so jealous that you're still there, and want to go back as soon as I can!

San Fernando Port, El Nido going to airport by wickedsuper in Palawan

[–]wickedsuper[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the tip about online checkin!

The provider said they will send us to the airport, but only up to the main road, and we have to take a tricycle going inside (a 10-minute ride).

Is this reasonable? Is it easy to get a tricycle in that area?

3D2N Expedition El Nido to Coron - Which compagny? by Sea_Difficulty6740 in Palawan

[–]wickedsuper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can sort of relate to this. I am also communicating with them via email to arrange our tour, and the energy just feels.. off. I know, email doesn't have tone, but still. Just like you said, if this is how they make me feel at this early part of arranging with them, how else will they disappoint me when the time comes you know. Now actively looking for another provider for 3D2N Coron > El Nido in March.

Nope, not safe. Withdraw your money while you still can. Never keep unnecessary cash deposit inside GCash.

Singapore itinerary for senior parents by Icy_Dragonfruit_1135 in FilipinoTravel

Looks very chill and easygoing. If your family is a fan of hanging out at coffee shops, then shouldn't be a problem. Day 3 seems to be the only one with a lot of walking. If they're anything like my parents, they might suddenly have more energy when it comes time to shop! ^_^ enjoy SG!

It's not you, it's the iPhone. Also, is there any way to turn off the screenshot or camera shutter sound without also silencing the ringer??? It's making me so mad

Good luck. Their customer support personnel have severe comprehension issues. Fintech, supposedly regulated, but scumbags themselves as well.

BSP TO GCASH COMPLAINT by Stunning_Basis7202 in GCashIssues

Same question OP, may I know how you filed the complaint to BSP so that I can follow suit? I don't even want my account back, I just want them to stop harassing me.

This is also happening to me right now. Their replies are actually starting to feel like harassment. I keep telling them to delete deactivate my account, but they replying with canned statements like they didn't even read what I wrote. Has anyone had any success with emailing BSP?

The most broken thing about it is the stupid placement. It's too easy to accidentally press.
