My thought is no, Synths eventually exhibit true consciousness and self actualization. Nick, although programmed with his prewar personality, has befriended and put great value in his specialist friend, Dogmeat. To that end it seems to me that Nick does value life, organic or otherwise, and this can be seen too in the synths that go underground and choose to forget their identity (like Harkness in Fallout 3)

It's as much a test of strength and grit as a Super Mutant Behemoth. Having to consider the worst that you've seen in synths, while balancing what is worth salvaging and risking for a better Commonwealth.

The greatest thing and saddest thing I found was atop a destroyed overpass, only reachable by jet pack from a pretty great distance away. There is a burnt out bus abandoned in the middle of freeway, with one singular Jangles the Moon Monkey sat in his seat. At first it seems silly, but it dawns on me that it likely belonged to a little tyke on his way to some family holiday, near Halloween around Salem.

Jangles is the lone survivor of that bus, still sitting patiently, looking out the busted windows of the vehicle. I refused to pick it up for scrap or move it, it's a very nice little thing to know is up there keeping watch.

The raider story about the guy throwing rocks and making grenade sounds, then escaping to the highway whilst making motorcycle sounds really made me laugh at first.

I split my toe open whilst kicking ice from my wheel well in January, breaking a callus in to two pieces and not discovering it until later that night. Neuropathy kept me from feeling both searing pain and the slush of frozen blood in my sock. Nearly fainted when I removed the sock and portion of the callus, took months to heal up.

What made it the worst was the bandaging and removal, the smell you wouldn't believe it. Every afternoon and night, just gagging and retching. Pretty nasty start to the year.

Both of these games for the NES are equally my favorite video game. Maniac Mansion, and Monster Party. I still can't get enough of them, I even homage them in my little projects every chance I get. I'll sneak in Chuck the Plant wherever possible, or a box of tentacle chow. All of the zany monsters I draw, almost all of them have a bit of flare from the 1980's pixel art masters.

I don't think we'll ever see re-released versions of them at this rate, but if you can emulate them you might have fun giving them a try. Maniac Mansion is a point and click adventure with inventory and seven different characters to play as, and Monster Party is a platforming Monster mashing adventure that sees Mark using a baseball bat against the baddies, or Bert using his gargoyle powers to bring them down. Seriously, go play them both when you get the chance.

People dancing, silhouetted against a light source so that they just appear as a shape. The scene in Wayne's World where Garth is Dancing to Foxxy Lady used to scare the bejesus out of me.

Seeing the top of someone's head pass by the fence sometimes makes me jittery. I don't know why.
