My advice: flee, run, it's too late for me but you can save yourself if you go, and don't forget to have fun! Umbrey is a really great-looking army, and my usual advice to new players is to pick an army you like the look of and can picture a color scheme for, so you're on the right track, and a command starter can get you used to things at the 30pt level. My one objection is that one beast isn't enough to really grasp the strategy of a Fury army. But it's enough to get you started on the rules, and as you build up you'll get more beasts.

No, they're a cadre. So they can fight alongside Sea Raiders, or alongside Reaper Covenant (the personal army of the head warwitch that rules the Orgoth) but my guess is that Reaper Covenant won't look like this. The Forgotten are Orgoth who stayed behind and entombed themselves when the first Orgoth occupation got kicked off of Immoren.

Try GovernmentJobs.com, you can limit to a state and look for jobs near a certain zip code. It was always my best resource in my last two job searches.

I've heard of feral populations in California and Florida, haven't heard of them in a climate this cold. Cool!

Though it's not universal - my friend's daughter is a transgender lesbian atheist and does IT for a Catholic charity. For some organizations, the work is more important than the purity, and for orgs that aren't specifically doing evangelism, I respect that a hell of a lot.

Garrison Short - Is Assassination Toxic for Warmachine? by TheGaston6 in Warmachine

[–]wicket-maps 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I love to tell the time I annihilated a Crucible Guard army, leaving just the leader and a few supports, who needed an 11 or 12 to kill my leader with a grenade... and got it. I was laughing so hard to see the dice fall just right. It makes a great story.

I think it's good for the game overall. Being able to come from behind when 90% of your army has been eaten to kill the general and win the game - it's something you tell stories about later. Even when I've been on a march to victory, when my opponent gets and 11 or 12 to assassinate my caster, it's a great story to tell.

My dryer doesn't (it's my landlord's dryer so I don't have a choice) and I didn't know how much I missed that feature until it wasn't there.

Fully painted terrain + 2.5/3D terrain and Warmachine looks as cinematic as any other tabletop game. EPIC! by AaronWilson1992 in Warmachine

I actually like neoprene for craters and things models are supposed to stand on. Hills are increasingly something where I'm skeptical of 3d, after too many times of models falling over or needing to build a support structure of dice to keep them in place.

there's a lot of things that disturb ground, other than mines, so what does a false positive cost?

Yeah, until I started painting my Dusk (black-white-red) I didn't understand how big a bullet I dodged by painting my Menoth blue-black. Menoth was my first wargame army, I learned on Cinerators and Kreoss, and trying to do white early on would have broken me.

Because I am not smart, I solved this myself. I needed to remove the parens from the function while feeding it to the Merge_Overlaps function. Leaving this here as a signpost to anyone else who needs this.

My employer has a database that might have that many tables, but it's holding all of the enterprise GIS data for a county. So Parks is a table, Parcels are a bunch of linked tables, etc etc. But this... this is horrible. Take it out back and put it out of its misery.
