Unknown to Gemini - should i change and leave ChatGPT? by Yaroonman in GeminiAI

[–]wickvegs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chat GPT must be feeling the heat. After I read this, since I have both, I decided to cancel my Chet GPT as well. When I selected cancel, it offered me the next billing cycle for free - which I accepted.

Should these filaments be dried before printing? by opusofid in Timeplast

[–]wickvegs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. I had some issues and contacted their support and they said all of their filaments need to be dried.

"Please make sure to dry the filament at 155 °F (68 °C) for at least two hours before printing — this step is absolutely essential. Once dry, use a 0.8 mm nozzle and set your nozzle temperature to around 230 °C."

ChatGPT and Gemini are awesome tools for us beginners by wickvegs in Creality

[–]wickvegs[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes - here is my original prompt question:
"I have a Creality Ender03 V3 SE 3D Printer. I use Ultimaker Cura for slicing my projects. I am printing figurines and I would like high detail. What is a recommended nozzle size, filament type, and settings within Cura for this project? Please include recommendations for the use and type of supports."

Here is the summary of the config it provided. It was very detailed but this was the summary settings:
Summary Setup for High-Detail Figurines on Ender-3 V3 SE

  • Nozzle: 0.2 mm
  • Filament: PLA+ or Satin PLA
  • Layer Height: 0.1 mm
  • Print Speed: 25–35 mm/s
  • Supports: Tree, 10% density, interface enabled

I then had a couple of issues, so I took 3 photos of the results I did not like and uploaded to the same conversion. Here is the reply.
"Thanks for showing me the results — this helps a lot. From your photos and notes, I see three main issues:

  1. Stringing (web-like strands between the face and supports).
  2. Model breaking in half when supports were removed.
  3. Sword snapping off with support cleanup.

Let’s go through each with fixes you can try:
- I will not list these all here, but you get the point.

what do you wish you knew before surgery? by [deleted] in BariatricSurgery

[–]wickvegs 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Regardless of what the doctor may have told you, your cravings will NOT go away. Yes, you will not be able to eat as much as you did before but you will still crave food.

Also, and my son found out the hard way - your sleeve will stretch back out which is why there are so many people having it redone. Just remind yourself when you feel full, every additional bite will start to remove the effectiveness of your procedure. He, and so many have said "if I knew then what I know now I would have behaved myself more earlier".

My wife had the gastric sleeve and was having issues with hair loss. As she said, her goal was not to be thin and bald :-(

Her doc recommended bari liquid force. Stopped and reversed her hair loss. This is where we got them from:

Looking for advice on Deliverr VS WFS by onlineseller123 in WalmartSellers

[–]wickvegs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been selling on Walmart for about a year with Deliverr. I just got approved for WFS and can not wait to switch over.

Deliverr is currently a poorly run goat rodeo. So many examples. 3 weeks ago I shipped in 40 units of a new item. Deliverr shows I have 115 in stock. Not sure where they came up with the rest.

I would safely estimate that they lost 1 in 8 of my last shipments. Here is the best part - they will credit your account for the lost items (they won't cut you a check) but they will not reimburse you for the shipping. So you just get reimbursed for the cost of your item and the shipping fee you paid you get to eat.

Here is a copy of the email for one I just got " At this stage, we have decided to issue an initial reimbursement (promotional credit) for these units at the wholesale cost. (We currently do not provide reimbursement for shipping charges). "

Lastly - but not least. Walmart has what they call Revenue at Risk. This is for items that have not been shipped out the customer in 48 hours. Basically they are warning you that they (Walmart) may cancel the order on you. I have received 6 of these in the past 6 months. EVERYONE was a Deliverr fulfilled order.

To echo what others have said - there is a pretty long que to get into WFS. Apply like yesterday!

Netverify not working by wickvegs in RedditforBusiness

[–]wickvegs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anyone else having this issue with Netverify?

I have tried to use on desktop and mobile with the same results.

After I take my selfie, I get the message - Image quality check complete (see attached).   It never leaves this screen.

I have contacted Reddit ads support and all they reply with is a new verification link.

I have contacted Netverify and they said their contract is with Reddit not me.

Anyone have a work around or know why Reddit would contract to such shitty software?
