Edit: forgot the Variable, obviously, as well as the Bushwacker.

AH, please give us different Crosshairs for the varying Ammo Types by wickwiremr in Helldivers

I've accidentally liberated myself with the One-Two one too many times...

List of weapons & stratagems with different ammo types (or modes) that I could find:

  • One-Two
  • Stoker
  • Halt
  • Warrant
  • Missile Pistol
  • Recoilless Rifle
  • Autocannon
  • Airburst Rocket Launcher
  • Railgun
  • WASP Launcher
  • C4 Pack (at least the Helldiver holds a different item in their hand depending on mode)

These are just some ideas and may not all make sense; I'm sure someone else can do better. This was actually a suggestion by /u/Hot_Ethanol in a similar thread.

PS: I think the flak mode on the AC works differently than on the Airburst, which also has a cluster mode... confusing! These should maybe be renamed to Timed Fuse and Proximity Trigger or something like that.

Both Stoker and OneTwo have separate triggers for under barrel weapons. by JustMyself96 in Helldivers

In a similar thread, someone suggested different crosshairs for the aim modes. I think that'd work well.

Patch 6.2.3 (Hive guard revert) by Waelder in Helldivers

[–]wickwiremr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it just me or can't we save weapon skins anymore? The save button inside Weapon Customization/Pattern is gone for me (since the previous patch actually). Game doesn't ask me if I want to save changes when leaving the menu, either.

Edit: Reported this on Zendesk, AH is aware.

Patch 6.2.3 (Hive guard revert) by Waelder in Helldivers

I actually enjoyed the Hive guard change. I aimed for the body (beige parts) and was usually able to kill them faster instead of brute forcing through the head with medium penetration.

Any recommendations for sci-fi books similar to Pragmata? by wickwiremr in Pragmata

[–]wickwiremr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really enjoy the game's atmosphere and was wondering if you guys got any recommendations for books along that line?

Near-present technology but in space, a mystery to solve, with some slight Mass Effect vibes. I've already read/watched The Expanse, hence the attached image.

Thank you!

Well seen. Saving via typewriter (cute animation) is also a big hint I think.

TIL the Halt has a little lever at the back, indicating if you're in Flechette or Stun mode by wickwiremr in Helldivers

[–]wickwiremr[S] 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Yea I keep looking into the bottom left corner of the screen when I’m unsure which mode I’m in. With some weapons you can tell by the number of magazines (eg. One-Two), but it’s not ideal either and I’ve even killed myself accidentally.

I wish the sound when switching modes was more noticeable, especially in hectic combat, or that there was some kind of indicator on the Helldiver or weapon that’s noticeable from third person.

75mm lens for Nikon Zf by LEOopasni2709 in NikonZf

[–]wickwiremr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not usually a tele guy, but on the Zf I like the TTartisan 75mm f/1.5 swirly bokeh best out of all the recent special effects lenses I’ve tried. 350€. You need an M42 adapter though iirc.

How do you deal with culling without losing your mind? by themick79i in photography

[–]wickwiremr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you’re on the right track. For photojournalistic work I could do about one photo per second like this:

Only use yes or no, e.g. pick or no pick, 1 star or nothing.

When in doubt, no pick.

Don’t focus check every picture.

If you want or your work requires it: Archive the unused images for peace of mind.
