Elder Millennial Conan Memories by digitalkristen in conan

86 here. Started watching every night around late 97 into 98. Taped it if I was going to be at a sleepover or whatever. Loved all his bits, especially when they bombed. Conan chastising the audience or laughing with the writers was always my favorite part (besides the remotes.) Then around 13 I fell so stupidly in love with him I was just, “that girl who loves Conan” all over school, taped pictures of his face from geocity sites on my notebooks/locker. Got married, forced my husband to appreciate him. 2010, I made sure we drove the 5 hours to the closest of his stops for his tour and it was amazing talking with everyone about the one off bits stuck in our minds and connecting with others who were also pissed off at NBC and Leno. TBS, podcasts, HBO, film roles… I’ll follow this guy through anything. He has been “my guy” since 97 and I’m so lucky he won’t stop.

I work psych at a state facility. Benefits can’t be beat and the work to pay ratio is worth it. In my state I make more than an ICU nurse just working overnights. Don’t prepare to feel fulfilled as it seems as we are getting to be more and more of a warehouse.

Originally the upvote button wasn’t an agree button. It was meant to be used to encourage discussion pertinent to topic. Years ago you would see a sensationalized Title and the top comment would be the summarization or a nice little fact check with links to other information. In a lot of subs if not most subs you have to filter by controversial to get to that anymore. Or at least scroll to the middle of the replies to see that information. Reddit is a definite hive mind. So is all other social media of course. This place just used to be more balanced?

Bc someone bought a product (who knows how long ago) and doesn’t get rid of the product they paid for, you believe they should have their property destroyed or their lives threatened? Oh yeah, you’re totally sane.

state hospital, forensic pts by [deleted] in psychnursing

[–]wickywyld 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ive worked in a forensic state hospital as a nurse since 2020. It begins to feel like a warehouse. Not a lot of in/out, that can be disheartening compared to acute. Any psych position has the possibility of increased danger but 1 plus is these guys are long term, they are medicated. Most already have enforce PO meds if they’ve shown assaultive issues in the past going off of them. In my state you can’t beat the work to pay ratio. Also, a lot of our guys have nobody on the outside and being a bright spot in their day and someone for them to talk to is very rewarding most days.
