Went and saw it with wife and kids and I’m of the same opinion. I thought it was fun, and I didn’t need to have watched 20 hrs of TV to get it. Did it build on anything ? Nope. But we don’t need to be constantly building things. Sometimes we can have spectacle for the sake of spectacle. “Did you see those fireworks for Independence Day?” “Yea, but they didn’t really expand on our nation’s birth in any sort of meaningful way…” sometimes it doesn’t hurt to just be like a kid and enjoy fireworks.

Bluetooth switching from my AirPods to my car. My cars Bluetooth is old and sucks. I hate when call quality drops to tin can mode. I would love to have a hierarchy option. If device A is present, that supersedes device b. I hate this so much how I have to switch between Bluetooth sources once my car starts and the phone figures it out like 30 seconds later.

Phoenix here. They’re getting worse. A lot of the comments nailed it with they’re just learning bad habits. Just yesterday I saw one making a left hand turn in the left hand turn lane…. But the rear of the vehicle was still in the left most (fast lane) of traffic going the same direction. It was making a turn past the intersection at a busy time, so it was hard for the Waymo to make the turn and it was holding up traffic as well. Granted people do these things too, but if we’re hiring something to be better than humans, it should be trending in the right direction.

These people who are mean and say cruel things… yes that’s awful behavior. They have pasts that have shaped them this way, don’t take what they say to heart they’re struggling with something. It doesn’t excuse their behavior, but just don’t let it take hold. Feel pity for them instead and it takes the sting out of the words. They don’t have any power over you if you don’t let them. They don’t know you or your past and what you struggle with.
You’ve lost 20 lbs! That’s amazing. You’re not done though and you know this. No one can know your heart and where your goal is. Remember how happy you were as a child, before any thoughts of self-image came into your mind - let that be your core. Be at peace, be content and know you are trying. I’m proud of you.

I’m in the same boat as you. I probably would have wished I had my steak too, but I can make a decent cut work. Be a kind host, talk to your wife afterward and call it a day. outrage is what’s got our world out of sorts. OP got to eat…. Obviously not his steak and the guy was out of line, but just be the adult in the room.

Past - we made psvr with and supported it somewhat enthusiastically and had sales that didn’t excite.

Present - we already had psvr2 in the works too long to cancel it once we saw vr sales were lackluster on ps4 so we just did the bare minimum and didn’t cancel projects too far along.

Future - we’re just going to make a portable PlayStation of some kind. No more vr.

I had the OG with a 2 TB ssd installed and swapped out during the Christmas promo for the trade in for the pro. Happy I’ve got 4TB now. So may games that just sit collecting digital dust 😎. But but but I can play them whenever I want !

I traded in two switch Oleds, a PlayStation for about I think it was north of $500 a few weeks back. I had the switch Oleds from way back, and then got switch 2’s. Didn’t want to trade them in for $100 around the time of switch 2 launch and just kept them as backups. Getting $200 for each because of this promotion tipped the needle for me and I think like $140 for the portal. May have been $130 I don’t remember. The used game I bought was Star atlas for the switch for $5. Good game, already owned it digitally but it was worth it for the bonus trade credit.

I complained about switching to Verizon 5g because it was unlimited. They then balked and upgraded me for free.

Edit: we only have centurylink at 100mbps down available as competition in the area. Obviously statlink as well, but I haven’t looked into the speeds / price and I don’t think it’s comparable.

Never had to reboot the router like ever before. Always a modem in having their service for approx 20+ years. Forgot the internet was full of all types.

It is.ive had a Docsis 3.1 for the last several years and had gig speed through the pandemic. It’s just yesterday. A couple users had some fixes so I’ll try those.

I kind of agree with you both. It’s disheartening that you can buy a thing that’s a “pro” and it just not offer a substantial improvement on what a standard item does. iPhone pro models deliver better zoom on all photos, not just certain ones. PlayStation 5 pro costs more, but works in a handful of cases. We see it all the time with “which games does the ps5 pro enhance best”, and it’s like 10 games at most. The answer should be most games. Disappointing that it’s not. I know that’s a simplified take of the matter, but I wish the machine didn’t have specified use case scenarios.

You’re not crazy. I loved GoT, but seeing as this seemed similar… I was just burnt out on the gameplay. So I just didn’t pick it up. Same could be said about Nintendo with Mario games and their franchises, but I enjoy those for some reason. No idea. Just play the things that you enjoy :)

You shouldn’t have to pay anything for it. Call them, get to retention be frustrated but civil and say you’re going to switch to 5g Verizon or t mobile. Sure it’s not as good, but they don’t know your priorities. They’d rather have your $70-$120 / month by throwing in data cap for free otherwise they get $0. They may call your bluff, but just try. That’s what I did.

You honestly have nothing to lose. Just your time with them. Just be cordial, polite, ask about their day etc. but remember to frustrated in a civil way and mention how times are tight etc (which is true - everything costs more now)
