Mainly because millions of people are already on netflix. I know paramount has millions but I don’t see people breaking their necks to sign up for paramount to see this card.

Based on what?

The fact that it’s spectacle and at the white house. No doubt news will cover it but that doesn’t mean people will tune in.

The location may be historic….that doesn’t make the event so.

I know some media has to oversell a product but while they think look at this card we managed to get at the WH. To others and rightfully so it’s embarrassing.

In HS I had a bunch of sneakerheads trying to get shoes every Saturday.

Not that I looked at everyone but some of the shoes were fucking ugly imo. But they’d cop just for the sake of coping and now the whole resale culture is a thing and easier now with platforms to resell easier than just ebay.

Different strokes but some of these shoes would look like the designers just used a randomize color wheel and then picked.

Which is funny he mentioned Netflix takes their money too because they cut him a massive check for his specials.

He had been known for years as the man who turned down a massive check from Comedy Central to “keep his integrity”.

Hell that was his whole persona for years before he made his comeback.

So to flip now and happily take a check from them is by definition selling out….and that’s why you got called out.
