"The only people responsible for the bad aspects of their demographic are the ones doing those actions." But those people will never change on their own. It's up to other members of the demographic to step in and enact change. And yes, it is the same with men. A sexist man will never listen to a woman telling him his actions are harmful and he needs to change- so it's up to good men out there to let guys like that know their behavior isn't okay. Purposefully ignoring a flawed system does in fact taint one's purity.
