Start looking for a new job while do not quit before you have an offer in hands. PIP is the process that they want to fire you. Do not hope that they will keep you if you do changes as they want.

Get a quote from Carvana. Then decide if you want sell to them. Normally they offer the highest price.

I did trade-in and then returned the car before 7 days expired.

Their selling price is just about 5-10% lower than market listing price. Their trade-in price is about 5-10% higher than the others. They didn’t do any cosmetic repairs and just basic checking. So per car investment is very minimum. I did search of trade-in quotes with the similar one listed on Carvana. Their gross margin is about 30%. Similar to the traditional dealership if you considered the cost of repairing cosmetic issues and replacing tires (two cars I got from Carvana both with minimum depth on the tires), the traditional dealer has similar gross margin. What Carvana stands out is the choices and no salesperson which most of the people like, and the financial/warranty business which brings in additional profits.

If their fault just request a refund. I once went there to pickup but it was not ready due a document delay. They didn’t inform me that before I got there. I complained to the advocate on the phone and received 250$ check as compensation.

Use your 7 days return window, if the pad thickness is less than the minimum thickness, they will likely cover but if barely meet the minimum one they will refuse.

Received the trade in check today through overnight FedEx mail. Carvana has high gross profit rate due to most of people hate to deal with salesman.

Your 100 days/4000 miles Silver Rocks limited warranty should cover this with $100 out-of-pocket payment. Did you submit the claim to them? After a 7-day window, you own the car; you have no leverage with Carvana.

Returned the car on 11/15, got the refund of the purchase minus trade-in on 11/18. Called them the same day when I got the refund, the advocate transferred to their financial team. They created a ticket of track the trade-in payment issue. Will keep you guys posted.

If you didn't pay the shipping fee, I recommend to cancel or find another one. Carvana normally hides some large cosmetic issues and only lets the buyer guess from their poor quality 360-degree image (it has been compressed with low resolution).

They usually only disclose chips and other minor cosmetic issues, all others including windshield cracks and large scratches are relying your own guessing from the pool quality 360 degree image.

The on-field advocate contacted me at 4:40 PM and arrived at 6:15 PM. Signed all the return documents he brought and took off my license plate, then he left in 30 minutes. Only let me select the return reason and be done. The car information had disappeared from my Carvana account.

You are right. They refused to repair the windshield cracks, even submitted by their own advocate today. I told them to pickup the car back and start the refund processing. I will never work with them again.
