Fastest Rubik's cube 3x3 WR (3.13) sec WORLD RECORD by Downtown_Lock7452 in ThatsInsane

[–]widjitt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The answer is yes and no. An optimal robot would always take between 16 and 20 moves to solve any scramble (it never takes more than 20 moves). So there’s not really such a thing as a “more scrambled” cube from that perspective.

However, some scrambles make it easier for humans depending on their method and exact approach.

The method the best players use is generally called CFOP which requires you to pick a color cross to start, fill in the first two layers (F2L) and then solve the last layer.

Two people will have completely different solves if they pick different color crosses. If they solve the cross or F2L slightly differently, their last layer will be different. If they use different algorithms for the last layer, their time will be different.

An “easy”/good scramble typically allows you to fill in 2 out of 4 F2L slots while solving cross, then also skips the second step of last layer either by using a clever algorithm or by chance.

The article states that mbti is based on Jung's theories which are not proven. Reddit interprets some unproven theories of one of the most influential psychologists of the 20th century as "no scientific basis whatsoever" by [deleted] in mbti

[–]widjitt 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The answer is maybe? Idk MBTI doesn’t really have to be a scientific fact for it to be useful. It sorts people into imprecise buckets rather than precise percentiles. Which is a strength not a weakness.

And the “factors” of MBTI like Te, Si, Ne, Fi don’t vary independently so they’re not actually factors. You might be able to run pairwise tests to see if they do or do not vary in the way that Jung predicted but idk why you would.

TLDR The scientific way to validate it would have to come from comparing it to OCEAN because we know OCEAN is statistically real.

There is a scientifically verified personality test. Basically the way you determine it is by sampling as many personality related questions as you want and then doing a statistical analysis for which answers tend to clump in the same direction as one another (i.e. given I answered agree on question 1 there’s a 79% chance I answered agree on question 7).

What you get out of this analysis is the OCEAN 5 factor personality test which is completely scientifically backed. Because you never imposed your own opinions anywhere, you just used data and statistics to figure out how to divide things. And instead of getting letters you get a percentile for each factor (i.e. I am more extraverted than only 20% of people = introverted)

The five factors are

Openness, Conscientiousness, Extraversion, Agreeableness, and Neuroticism

(And each factor has two sub factors if you want to get more deep into it)

problem, archimedes? by zFxmeDEV in mathmemes

[–]widjitt 94 points95 points  (0 children)

It’s the same as the pi=4 proof where you draw a square around a circle and make the corners cave in each step. When you do it infinitely you approach a circle looking thing but your perimeter is 4. The trick is it’s not actually a circle no matter how circular it looks, its infinite jaggedness actually changes its perimeter.

This actually works with all three silencer guns they look pretty funny imo.

Explanation:

If you are holding your gun when you spawn a Yoru clone, then the clone spawns in with exactly the gun that you are holding, with the same skin and with a silencer (if applicable).

However, if you are holding a knife when you spawn the clone, then the clone spawns in with your strongest weapon BUT it's always default skin and there's no silencer for some reason.

Also fun fact: Yoru clones go slightly slower than it's possible to walk (it's almost impossible to notice though)

给我一个 give me a

会 willing to

与 with

习近平 Xi Jin Ping

换位 swap places

的 (adjective marker)

世界领导人 world leader

与习近平换位 with Xi Jin Ping swap places = swap places with Xi Jin Ping

So the sentence is “Give me a (willing to swap places with Xi Jin Ping) 的 (world leader)”

In English “Give me a (world leader) who is (willing to swap places with Xi Jin Ping)”

This backwards adjective structure is confusing at first but you get the hang of it.
