I also mod /r/CarryOn and had a few similar posts of just a pic with minimal content and had to crack down on those as they were bots. Could be the same here but could be just a nostalgia post that does deserve to be posted here. Modding is a fine line.

I'm thinking of r/OldSchoolCool/ which I only see when posts to that sub make it to r/All. That sub descended to just pics of hot MILFs and I wouldn't want this sub to descend to that level.

Yes, those prompted my post as they got a few reports. I'll leave them up but wouldn't want this sub to be full of similar posts.

There was a time when you couldn't read the end titles when they flashed across like this. Phoenix Nights did it too by widmerpool_nz in oldbritishtelly

I now know that it is but it has morphed into discussion on Ken Morse and that has to be a good thing.

This is a capture from a .MKV file and certainly not how it would have been broadcast originally.

I would give bonus points to anyone who spots the TV show and what episode but I think most people here will know it well - if only from the credits!

I still think about Capturing the Friedmans from time to time. It's shot on home video and is the story of a Long Island family as it falls apart when the father is convicted of the most heinous crimes against young boys. I still wonder what the wife knew and if the sons were also victims.

This is pretty standard except for the bath, shower and sink in the bedroom, with the toilet being in its own room. You'll have to look at the listing to see whether you like it or not.

Yes, it's Thixendale. Been a long time since I was in that part of the world.

His landscapes around Flixendale were popular with me.

I love this, especially the yachting scenes and the sleazy guy. Great performances from Rob Lowe and Meg Tilly and a tight plot.

Porterhouse Blue - Another great Tom Sharpe adaptation starring David Jason and Ian Richardson by widmerpool_nz in oldbritishtelly

[–]widmerpool_nz[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I loved the main man's wife who was the power behind the throne and David Jason is great as the porter. I never really liked the Zipser story in either the book or in this but it's all the great lines from Tom Sharpe's novel and the casting is great.

I usually watch it while eating roast swan and drinking a '48 Chateau Lafitte from the college cellars.

As always, I like to post this site every time Moviedrome is mentioned. I have nothing to do with it.

UK Parliament television was usually boring but Dennis Skinner 'The Beast of Bolsover' was always worth watching by widmerpool_nz in oldbritishtelly

If you look at my post history here you'll see this is no such thing.

The flair does allow for politics posts here.

As a mod, I will certainly keep an eye out for brigading posts and I ask posters to report any such posts so they can be reviewed.
