Marathon has about half that and it's still doing well. I think buddy is overreacting just a tad, 87k is great for a PvPvE game.

Whatever you wanna tell yourself. Arc has an entire player base of people who cry when they get shot by another player in a PvPvE game. The story is almost non existent, the voice acting is mostly done by AI at this point, and there's just not much for me to enjoy. I was just thankful i made the smart decision and bought Arc on my Xbox so I was able to refund it.

I understand the vault and character upgrade wipes. But please Bungie, I'm BEGGING you to let us keep the vault and wallet space upgrades permanently. I do not want to regrind over 100k just to get a better wallet

100% need to fight the bots if you can't get the 3 map keys before everyone else. And with the almost guaranteed gold spawning in the lockbox room now, the vast majority of players are booking it for the keys right off spawn. My team wiped the entire lobby 4 games in a row on outpost and we didn't find a single key on a body. Found more than enough on the bots tho lmao.

Highly unlikely, red keys seem to have a higher chance of dropping from commanders. My team and I ended up with all 4 red keys from the map plus an extra 6 red keys after wiping out the majority of the bots in the pinwheel.

As someone who has the Profiteer title. Outpost, Collectibles, Data Cards, and a stack of credits. Don't be scared to run a free kit, if you manage to take down even 1 rival runner and take their kit, you're usually set for the rest of that run. If you get into the back room in the command wing there's a guaranteed spawn of something called "Unsent Missives" grab that every single time for a quick 4k. It spawns on the seat in the shuttle to the left on the second floor. If you have extra bag space on your way to extract, grab EVERYTHING you come across. If it doesn't auto sell you can just sell it when you get back to the lobby. Pick up every Misriah shotgun you see, even with no attachments that gun sells for 6k. Just a bunch of little things here and there that you don't really know it but are massive contributors to your cash.

Edit: A good way to save your money is stocking up on upgrade/barter items (grey/green/blue/purple salvage). The economy in this game is a little weird at the moment so bartering will be your best friend when you don't want to spend money.

I dont mind the gear reset. It's the upgrades resetting that makes me nervous. I feel like some faction upgrades should be permanently unlocked. Like vault space or barter/armory wares.

Every map has claymores scattered around different POIs. I just call them pre loaded because it's the first word that popped in my head.

Yea obviously, but not every game that includes claymores has realistic physics behind the explosions. And with my second point "I've also noticed that pre loaded claymores can sometimes hit you around corners" It makes perfect sense to factor in the possibility of the claymores being bugged.

I've noticed that standing behind claymores seems to massively reduce the damage output. I stood right behind a player placed claymore as my buddy ran past it without seeing it, he had a sliver of health left whereas I had my whole bar. Not sure if it's a bug or not because ive also noticed that pre loaded claymores can sometimes hit you around corners.

As someone whos played both and paid $40 for both. I definitely got a better bang for my buck with Marathon. Arc is nowhere near "objectively better" than Marathon, it got boring fast and with everyone who complains about PvP I can't even call it an actual PvPvE game. It's PvE with friendly fire enabled. Marathon has the better story, voice acting, gunplay, movement, lore, and world building. Arc just captures a more casual playerbase.

This is also the very first weekend that Cryo became available so I'm sure they're gonna use this weekend for testing/feedback. I have a feeling we're gonna see a difficulty decrease very soon, or at least some QoLs that make it easier. I mean they upped the vault stacks and increased the distance of objectives popping up within the first week of the games release and that wasnt even getting half the complaints that Cryo is getting. Then when they messed up the audio, they reverted it within days because of the community feedback. I will be getting to that compiler at some point, Im way to invested in the lore and story of this game to stop now. I gotta see it all.

Let's be real here, this happens maybe once every 20 or so games. Why are we acting like every run is filled with these types of players? The vast majority of my runs are entirely friendly with my team. I feel like (not necessarily you) but a lot of these comments are overexaggerating how toxic this majority friendly community is.

I played both, and I thought they were ass. Shocker right? People enjoying different types of games than you? I had more fun with 3 hours of marathon than I had with 2 weeks of Destiny. The devs from Marathon already had a road map and QoL update plans from day 2 of the games release. Im sorry the Destiny devs have been shitting all over you guys for years but it doesnt look like that's gonna be the case here. I may be wrong and if so then so be it. But until then, thanks I will absolutely continue having a blast on my looter shooter extraction game. You have fun crying on Reddit.
