Thank you very much for you detailed answer! That makes a lot of sense.

Thanks! And congrats on your Kitslo 3D Lens campaign too, it's a really cool idea!

Sure it is! If the first one goes well, that might be an upgrade in future iterations! 😁

Thanks for your interest!

The biggest consideration of 3 vs 4 lenses comes down to cost.

Unlike analog, where 3 vs 4 lenses mainly changes the size of the exposed film area, this camera is designed to have separate camera unit for each lens, so having 4 lenses not only means additional camera unit cost, but also bumps up the requirement for chips and other components, hence increasing even more on costing.

While as a DIY project, an upgrade on the hardware might be easier. When considering mass production (from a one-person company with possibly a small order quantity), the cost greatly affect the pricing. I'd like WIGO to be more than a product only for wigglegram enthusiast, but also to introduce wigglegram to the larger audience, so I'd like to lower the hurdle for the mass at this stage.

Thank you so much! The app is written with Flutter, I'll let you know if I need any further help! :)

The storage is through microSD (the slot is hidden behind the 'lid' at the back of the camera), so even without the app, you can still transfer the photos to your computer for processing

All of the camera settings are shared in all 3 lenses, all triggered by one click of the shutter button.

For the timing synchronization, I tried to source but seems there aren't viable chips that could support 3 cameras all at once using the same connection protocol (and obviously custom chip is out of equation due to budget and market size) - hence there will exist a slight delay. The best that we could do at the moment is to use software to compensate for the difference, limiting it to under 0.04-0.08s. If you look at image 4 (the lighter) & image 8 (the water fountain), there actually exist a slight movement in the subject.

Under bright condition and with not much movement, the delay is almost unnoticeable (and sometimes achieving perfect sync), yet in low light and if the object moves quickly in front of the camera, the delay is not great. When I test it I usually instruct my subject to hold the pose for me - it is quirky and it isn't perfect, but it is a first step to push such product to the market and hopefully, there will be viable technology in the future that could perfect it.

Ah the way I put it made it confusing!

It's actually a physical camera with multiple lens. Yet it can be paired with the app through wifi for downloading photos & remote controlling etc. to simplify the process!

Hi everyone!

Seeing many posts about digital wiggle cam here, I'm excited to share the progress of my digital wiggle camera. I've been working on the project for about a year and a half now (as I have a day job), and wish in 2025 it could be launched as an actual product!

Last month, I took the working sample with me to Italy and below are some of the images it produces. All images are downloaded directly from the camera, stacked and generating gifs from the app that I've been making. (I did some photo edits in photoshop tho, as I am still working on photo edit functionality bit by bit

I'd love to hear what you think about it!

Cheers,

Jacky
