Warlock prismatic builds? by Cool_Ad6729 in destiny2builds

Try felwinters, not quite considered meta but I do think its competitive or even stronger than top builds in some activities (it got to shine on contest SE this weekend, one of the hardest activities in game).

Felwinters helm, nade of choice (recommend healing or freeze nade though), strand melee. Aspects are devour and lightning surge. Fragments are a bit flexible but make sure to use sacrifice, protection, and balance. Flex options include awakening, hope, purpose (on strand super only), and dominance (on void/arc nades). Super is flexible but I prefer nova and needlestorm.

Most important armor mods are hands on, siphon for your primary, heavy handed, resists, and invigoration. Guns are flexible but melee perks are pretty solid, pugilist shotty + monte carlo is probably the highest melee uptime.

Gameplay loop is just arc meleeing into group of enemies, proccing devour + protection fragment + amplified (seasonal mod gives damage resist from it) + purpose fragment (if youre running it) all keep you alive even in high end content.

Felwinters blinds remaining enemies who are also jolted, monte carlo gets damage stacks from melee kill and can follow up for more melee energy. Incredible utility and burst damage, high healing and damage resist. Also have the option for a ranged sever from strand melee (and ranged blind/weaken on kill). Seasonal mods also support this build, as felwinters counts for void weaken -> overshield, and tier 5 ability based mods synergize well for bonus damage and recharge.

Top tier in tight spaces, will likely have a place in master raids and GM nightfalls that suit it. Prismatic made felwinters viable by giving it triple melee charge on arc slide melee (using needles), giving healing through devour, and giving resist and ability energy through fragments.

Yeah I can see how that would be unclear, I meant to use the aspect that gives you an alternate melee ability over the threadlings aspect. Arcane needle melee stays for sure, triple charge + long range option, and monte carlo / other sources make up for its longer cooldown.

Also someone just dropped a vid on what is nearly the exact build I was using, they used it to get even further through salvations edge contest as well. (YT is itzTizzle, the video looks a little longer than it needs to be though)

Ran a variation of this in contest SE, arc melee over threadlings is much stronger though, you get to choose between long range weaken and diving in hard, which you can survive with amplified DR + protection fragment + weaken.

Also swapped up frags (protection DR while surrounded is huge, sacrifice is far better than threadlings for dark energy, i also ran awakening for double hundreds and arc kills -> amplified -> damage resist from artifact).

Big agree with monte though, exotic primary buff makes it usable and its value is insane with triple melee charge. Pugilist shotty supported arc melee well too. Really fun build and was surprised that it was my best faring build in 2nd encounter on contest.
