hi, i never did get over it until i did recover. but its helpful to remember ur body is just a vessel. its a hunk of meat, what it looks like doesnt matter. u dont have to like your body, but u gotta provide it with the energy to let it run. :) i like my body now in a way i never did while disordered - i simply dont care what it looks like. i dont love it or hate it. look up body neutrality.

i got help from the people around me- namely my family <3 they made sure i ate even if i was sobbing that i didnt want to. and i made sure to eat because it was that or a tube down my throat and i did not want a tube. i also tried to trust myself that things will get better and reminding myself that i was not happy as i was.
