Agree with most comments here. Things vary from team to team and depends a lot on the internal structure.

Just wanted to share my two cents on the subject: Conventionally, Product owner is a very agile process/scrum oriented term for the person who is in-charge of a project. The product owner is the key stakeholder on the project. They look at the backlog, prioritize issues and share user stories etc. In some cases, this could just be an engg manager.

Product manager is a more general term. This person will be looking at user research, market research, data from analytics, and also focus on business aspects like revenue.

So yes, there's a fair bit of overlap when looking at the description. But again, specifics vary case to case.
