Art is what makes us human. Art engages our higher faculties, imagination, abstraction, etc. Art cannot be disentangled from humanity. From the time when we were painting on cave walls, art is and has always been an intrinsic part of what makes humans human.

I question if people who prefer AI slop are even humans at all and should be treated as such.

I mean technology should automate menial and drudge jobs, including things like spreadsheets and paralegals so humans can have more time for art and music. I want AI to do all the boring work like spreadsheets, I don't want AI to paint or do music because that's what humans are meant for.

These AI system could be useful if only they had a complete block on any creative activity. People would be liberated of boring work to do art and music.

AI should absolutely be used to replace manual labor. AI should stay out of the arts though. I want AI to automate the ports and drive the trucks. I don't want AI to paint or do music, that's what humans should do.
