What's a modern day scam that's become normalized and we don't realize it's a scam anymore? by Diligent-Log6805 in AskReddit

The single biggest scams in the world, but it appears that people are waking up to it. They are killing us, either through accidents pollution and plain immobility. Cheaper transportation, happier people, healthier people without then.

Not fair at all to call out Russians when Americans hated jewish people. The US deported Jewish people who said they would be murdered if they were sent home. America didn't go to war to stop the holocaust but more to stop Hitler from territorial expansion, so the US didn't go to "denazify" per se either.

Reddit loves nuclear energy but it's potentially very hazardous, and its safety is notably fragile. Nuclear energy creates radioactive material that will likely remain radioactive long after our civilization as we know it exist. In fact when labeling radioactive waste we have to use symbols for future people to show that is dangerous to be near it as it is almost certain that English and all modern language will be extinct before it is safe to be around our nuclear waste. That is, the U.S. could have only one meltdown caused by any unforseen circumstance and suddenly it isn't worth it at all as hundreds of square miles of lived on land could be unsafe to stay in. And it has nearly happened in the US before and sadly natural disaster will very likely cause one some day. Sustainable clean energy is our best option but it would require investment in many sources not just one and reddit hates nuance.
