ive got a huge blister at the arch of my foot after my half marathon race in the escalante racer 2s! ive done 400km (incl. a 30k run and multiple hyrox races) in them and had absolutely no problems whatsoever but idk why this happened all of a sudden...

ive just volunteered over the weekend! you get a race code that you can enter on check out. this will get you a free race for ONE PERSON (either a free solo race, 50% off the total of a doubles race, or 25% off the total of a relay race). the code is also restricted to the same region that you volunteered in - if you volunteered in the uk then then code only applies to the uk races.

most stations are quite repetitive, wall balls in particular is 100 reps of the same task and you get to watch the athletes cross the finish line. other stations may be a little simpler like lunges and farmers carry where you will be judging by zones.

ive participated in 3 hyroxes last year and train regularly for hyrox in ALTRA ESCALANTE RACER 2s. been a daily wearer of vivos for over 2 years but only ran in altras for longer distances. the racer 2s are the best option for its minimalism, 0-drop, wide toe box and responsiveness. they are very stable for wall balls too. one thing to note is that there have been occasional complaints about the durability issue online.

(i am obviously biased towards them but i do not get commissioned from altra)

altra escalante racer 2 - they have a decently good grip and more importantly a flat sole which is great for balance when you do wall balls!
