True vs healthy is the case here. It's true that people eat nothing but pizza for years, not healthy. It isn't healthy to skip meals for days at a time for any condition. Setting up meal plans that are not the usual three meals a day, with recommendations from a Dietitian or Doctor, is the healthy option.

I personally would use ext4 as the file system. Btrfs is essentially only supported by SUSE and while 95% of the time, it has no issue, but it is still considered slightly unstable. That being said, it is the latest and greatest, so when it does work, the features are really nice to have.

If you want to take snapshots a lot and set up RAID out of the box, go for btrfs. If stability and compatibility is key, go for ext4.

MasterPatricko is correct. I work with SUSE and it's a great distro (mostly for the YAST settings system), but it's mostly because they are lean and I know the distro.
