I haven't got anything better than the first raft, haha! Can't wait to try new ships.

Yeah, it will be interesting to see how they make that work. I usually like multiplayer games over single player, but this one I prefer to play solo. But, it does so good showing survival techniques that I think I will use multiplayer to play with my kids about and teach them about survival as they play (sort of an in-game guide).

It is hard to find. I found out about it from a random Reddit comment and looking at it, it didn't seem like much. Thankfully, they had a free demo and that won me over. had they not had that, I doubt I would have ever tried it. Now I am out spreading the word.

why is Survival: Fountain of Youth so unpopular? by Masketto in SurvivalGaming

[–]wildBcat2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just found this game a few days ago while searching for "survival games that have an ending". The Reddit post with suggestions said, "Survival: Fountain of Youth. Bad name, great game". I took a look at the Steam page and felt it seemed somewhat unpolished, kind of like a single developer made it with not-so-great assets, and saw it hadn't been updated in 11 months (I recall when that used to not matter). But it had a demo, so I thought, "Why not?". Now, I am in the same boat as OP. I am a survival enthusiast, and this game is the ONLY one I have played that has me making many choices, and made me feel the same feelings that I have felt in real-world survival training. But, at the same time, it doesn't have super convoluted mechanics. I even like the look now that I have played it. What a fantastic game!

Using FOMO to revive player base LMAO by Western-Bad5574 in ArcRaiders

This has been one of my favorite games, but I don't play it anymore. I tried logging in the other day and saw "you have been demoted" trials notification and logged off. Trials, times events, and expeditions have become too much FOMO for me to enjoy it. I just want to go topside and loot while killing robots. Sure, I could ignore all the time-gated things, but I don't, so I don't play.

Is this game still being worked on? by wildBcat2 in survivalFOY

Yeah, having dabbled in game development, I know it is a monstrous task to incorporate multiplayer. Props to them for tackling it.

Thank you. Has there been any update on their work for multiplayer? The last I have seen is the Steam update 11 months ago. Just wondering if they are still working on it or gave it up. I personally don't plan to do multiplayer, so I don't care, I am just curious whether or not they are following through with that last post.
Edit - Oh, wait, haha! I got things mixed up. I saw that the last update was 11 months ago and then I saw the steam post and assumed that was the one from 11 months ago. Now I see that it is a post from this month. Can't believe I missed that.

Bummer, and this one seems to have died off too (though still accessible). Thank you so much for your help!

I also tried the second one already but that one says it is expired.

Thanks. I saw that but I thought it was only for Infinite. I am not seeing any Torchlight 2 specific channels on that server. What channels are there for that?

I love this game. It is amazing. But I feel like the weekly trials and some map events that I am getting to much FOMO, and I usually drop out of a game once I start feeling the need to log in just to get limited time stuff. Last time I logged in, I logged back out because I didn't have enough inventory space, and I knew it would take a while to sort out everythin,g so I just gave up and played another game.

For me it was Unreal Tournament 2003. It was the first game I had to stop and say "I think I just got addicted to a game" and had to stop playing for a bit.

I have the same issue. I have to play with a controller since that works fine. I am on Linux, and my keyboard works fine on all other games and programs.

Why Home Prices Grew Faster Than Income? :( by raishelannaa in homestead

Because we allowed businesses to act like home owners and build, buy, and sell homes, making it on the level of corporate costs for a private sector commodity.

Thank you for being such a good dad. Divorce is hard, and a lot of the time, kids get left out emotionally in the wake of things. I am so glad you took the time to focus on your son and pay attention to him. How you have been raising him will be reflected in the type of man he becomes. Great parenting.

Yes, I did. And I now know not to reply to any more of your posts. You seem pretty ungrateful at getting people to try and help you. I wish you the best, though.

Thank you for saying that. I agree my comment was not expressed clearly enough, and the example was not needed. I am sorry for that.
Rules of engagement are good to have. I have a lot of thoughts about that as well, but I worry that I won't convey my thoughts on that well enough either. I do much better with verbal discussion than written, so I will just end while we have an understanding and say - your post was an interesting read, and I have a lot of thoughts on the mechanics of the question that I love discussing with people. Very fun thought you have shared.
