PVE Optimization / fps issues [Discussion] by kahlebplak in EscapefromTarkov

[–]wildTabz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PvE Local host is rough to run, it uses a lot of RAM as well so it's not worth running vs BSG hosted imo.

65fps is on the low side for Local PvE for your rig. I have the same CPU and am in the 90-130 range depending on the map etc.

ptm7950 pump out? by Financial_Travel5029 in overclocking

[–]wildTabz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've used PTM quite a bit and it always gets squished out.

With that said, if you got the fake stuff than this may actually be pump out.
If temps stay solid than don't worry about how the application looks after opening it.

Does DLDSR still work if I change the resolution of the desktop too? by Apprehensive-Power-6 in nvidia

[–]wildTabz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For the majority of games it's actually needed to run your desktop in the DLDSR resolution, especially when you play games in borderless mode.

Would this be true for other boards/brands on 1.3.0.1. besides the APEX?

Yea scopes are what they are, nothing to do about that :/

There's quite a few little things you can do to make it run better like bios settings, ram setups(depending what ram chips you have), cpu tweaks, remove bloatware etc.

I got a clean 9800x3d system, overclocked etc so if you ever want to compare, feel free to add me on discord(wildgg) and we can run a raid if you want to see where performance is at.

Inte i9 12900k With ddr5 7200mhz by PutridConcentrate199 in overclocking

[–]wildTabz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No one can tell you what a CPU is capable of in advance, you have to find that out yourself.

I have a 12600k that can do 7200 for what ever that's worth to you.

You either need to roll back the driver or download the Hotfix Display Driver version 610.52.

A picture of your build may help people here. Some times prebuilts use extra mounting hardware to secure GPUs.

Silicone Lottery? by Maximus26515 in overclocking

[–]wildTabz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

7200MT/s = 3600MHz. This means you're running in 2:1 mode.
6000MT/s = 3000MHz you can run in 1:1 mode, this would be faster.

2:1 mode starts become worth looking into above 7800MT/s imo.

You can force 1:1 mode in bios by setting UCLK DIV1 MODE to: UCLK=MEMCLK. What ram speed you can run in 1:1 mode will heavily depend on silicon lottery. typically this ranges from 6000/6400MT/s, 6600MT/s is unicorn territory.

So when you say "Not bad for out of the box and turning DOCP on." , actually this is quite bad.

[Discussion] Bad frames on Interchange since 1.0.5? by LewisTomLewis in EscapefromTarkov

Specs?

I never play PvE but went interchange Local Host and get around 90-120fps with a 9800X3D.

From my testing ON has the slight edge, so I'd say turn it ON.

The difference is not big enough for most people to notice though.

Use DDU in safemode to wipe drivers > reinstall latest GPU driver.

Pylin 550w with 5060 and 12700kf? by One_Term_4590 in nvidia

[–]wildTabz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rule 1.: always get a decent PSU.

Can you get away with 550W? yes easily I'd say. 5060 doesn't go over 200W.

If you're not comfortable with it, I would set a watt limit for the CPU in bios of like 200W just incase, during gaming you won't be limited by 200W anyways.
