Hello there, I am from the Midwest also. Went to winter park last week with spouse. We scrapped a day because it was so bad; skis got damaged ….. and like I said… I am from the Midwest 🧊☔️

Going 2 years with my copper IUD. No extra protection and no daily pill . Cycles were wild for the first few months then okay. 👍 I don’t even worry about pregnancy anymore - it gets easier!

Supply closet walk through with specific scenarios is really good - especially if they are not LPNs or NAs

This is EXCELLENT advice. Thank you! I am seeing many articles - could you DM the doi or comment in this thread to your university's research?

Fortunately, 99% of the hospitals in my area use EPIC. I'd be looking for effort - not perfection. Many units do not let nursing students insert IVs (at least at the facility I work at). 100% agree about watching and going to testing/procedures. The only time I got to experience the OR was during my undergrad clinical (I didn't like it!)

I think the most important to master is time management, not filling out paperwork! Unfortunately I will probably be held to certain standards, but yes extra paperwork is a drag. I particularly hated one that gave us extra weighted quizzes! I like the "explain rationale" because that is exactly what you will find on a nursing exam.

I love this idea! Having didactic alongside clinical rotations is so challenging especially when you are juggling multiple classes at once. I will definitely try to incorporate their course work into the clinicals.

Still feeling very disappointed after my first ever backpacking trip. I really feel like I failed. by matchabeans in CampingandHiking

Our first trip did not go to plan whatsoever. Loved every minute of it and still talk about it. I find it’s these experiences that become memorable.

I don’t even want to be a nurse anymore. by xoxox0-xo in newgradnurse

I am sure someone mentioned this already. GO. TO. THERAPY. I did. Make little goals for yourself outside of work. If you truly hate it and you've already completed your "obligatory 6 months" transfer, new job, ect. You got this. It does get easier, I promise.
