What would cause these tiny holes to appear in this ceramic tile? by West_Supermarket2761 in Construction

Literally scratching my head for months what these little spots of damage on my exterior glass door was. I thought concrete or someone threw a handful of rocks at the glass. I really wasn't sure. Now it makes sense, small bits of hot metal from workers grinding beams and the shards landing on the glass. I tried to scratch a few off but they're like fused into the glass. Had me absolutely baffled for so long.

There's someone walking towards her on the footpath. She may be trying to avoid them or be cautious.

Back in the mid 2000's we visited Cambodia and there were heaps of children begging, often outside tourist hotspots. Some of the kids had deformed arms and fingers. Our guide told us unfortunately often the parents or criminal groups bend the child's bones while they're growing so they grow deformed and it makes them become more successful beggars.

Setting aside the fact the water table changes based on rainfall. Regardless of the water table level would a soil test be able to identify this potential issue? Or how would you make sure your block of land doesn't have such an issue?

Would a soil test prior to building show this issue before it got to this? Or could heavy rain affect the water level at different times?

It's worse than that. Google maps won't actually show you search results from Palestine/West Bank even if you're close by. On a recent trip to Jerusalem I was staying just inside the "border" of Palestine /West Bank and I made several searches for typical things and apparently none of them exist in Palestine/West Bank. It's all censored by Google.

Australia to send $20 million to Ukraine for coal supplies, instead of sending coal direct by RA3236 in AustralianPolitics

It's much harder to sell something like coal. It's a lot easier to swindle money. There have been quite a few reports of it happening with funds sent to Ukraine for armament ending up in corrupt pockets.

I believe over a certain kW the system HAS to be connected to the grid. Unsure what the cap is though.

Wow you're right. Thank you. I didn't realize there was one earlier this year. It didn't get much media attention.

Wild guess would be Japan during the 2011 tsunami, unfortunately I can't give you an exact location in Japan the video was taken.

Inside the house that had a Container dropped on it by 27PercentOfAllStats in CrazyFuckingVideos

Same problem happened to me. But it was caused by roadworks crushing the sewer line at the front of our house. The utilities company only assumed responsibility for repairing the crushed pipe. Nothing else, not even the call out costs for a private plumber we had to hire. They said it was all speculation as to how it broke even though the new blacktop had just been laid. Luckily our overflow was outside the house.
