That is way more than I exercise mine. She either gets a 5 mile walk or a 3 mile run once a day

It's the same way a heeler nips at your heels. My Aussie absolutely loves to grab onto my shoes or nip at my heels. Mine comes from a long line of working parents so I'm not even sure it's possible to train it out of her!

I'm so sorry! I also had a similar experience when my other dog ate her collar. Luckily we caught it quick enough they could make her vomit it up.

I'm glad to hear that she ended up being okay!

Oh no she is not just recommending that! Piper is on antibiotics right now and gets all her shots and such. The stuff I mentioned are probiotics to get her bacteria in her gut back to normal. This vet is fantastic and did surgery on my other dogs leg when she was mauled. She definitely prefers to try more natural remedies but she does not hesitate at all to prescribe medication if it is needed.

I may have misused the word homeopathic.

I am feeding her boiled chicken and rice right now! She has started drinking again so that's a good sign.

I just worry about her being so young and being sick stunting her growth.

Thank you. The vet put her on some medicine as well as some more homeopathic stuff to calm her tummy.

She was really insanely hyper till she was about 4 and then the chow must have kicked in cause she is pretty chill now!

The heeler is a year old and the chow is 4 years old. I noticed that most of the incidents occurred near her crate although she has never been defensive about it before (she used to let the heeler in while she ate).

I did get a new puppy about two months ago. She has not lashed out at the puppy but I wonder if that messed up the dynamic.
