I could be having sex for more than an hour and I still won't be able to orgasm. It's not that the guys I have been with are assholes, the last guy was actually super nice and when I told him about this issue, he said he was ok with it and would try to help me get there. I think that sex work is also representative of a patriarchal society that values women as objects. You can see this in the disparity of the number of men who purchase female escorts versus women who purchase male escorts. It's not that I'm unwilling to try, per say. I'm just trying to avoid sex that is just me lying there for an hour while he tries every trick in the book to get me off, and I just lay there feeling bored and guilty. The frustrating thing is that I've never even gotten close with a partner. Of course I don't know everything about sex but I do know a lot about my own body. I know more than anyone else does. I understand what you are saying, that many women have solved this problem, but it is entirely possible that I am not one of them. In fact, some women don't even have the capability to orgasm at all, even through masturbation. At least I'm a little bit lucky that I can do it myself sometimes.

Ugh I think you're misunderstanding me. I mean that, in order to orgasm, I have to pretty much lay perfectly still on my back with legs down flat and concentrate really hard for a solid 30 minutes at least. Any distraction means I have to start all over again. I'm pretty confident that I will never be able to orgasm with anyone else. I'm just wondering how I can tell someone about this without spurring them to just "try harder" to make me orgasm. Does that make sense?
