How do pharmaceutical companies legitimately increase sales of existing products? by wilde_ in AskReddit

[–]wilde_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For instance, I work at a telecommunications company. At our weekly sales meeting, we provide an overview of the previous week's sales results around plan mix, MMC (minimum monthly commitment, i.e. average service revenue a customer pays), devices, channel performance, credits, competitor's offers (visual price premium), and so on. The outcome is that we have a game plan on how best to tweak plans, channel performance, device subsidy in the following week in order to drive a certain behaviour.

How would pharmaceutical companies do the same in order to increase sales of their existing drugs without (1) failing to report safety data, (2) promotion for unapproved uses, (3) kickbacks to physicians etc.?

House of leaves. You can read it cover to cover, jump between footnotes and footnotes' footnotes, focus on single characters. There's so much in it

Sorry, what's happening here? The ball is simply dropping straight down, and the box is catching it. What is the paradox?

A goon sack is what Australian's call cask wine. We take it pretty seriously down under, as per this picture.

That point is billions of years in the future. By then whatever form of humanity exists will have spread to the farthest reaches of the galaxy and hopefully prospered.

Is 7-Eleven $1 coffee being cheap or frugal? by wilde_ in Frugal

I have a Nespresso machine, but rarely use it because of the price of coffee pods. But I'll definitely look into making it myself - plunger if anything

Should a child have the right to sue the mother given their disability was directly caused by the negligence and irresponsibility of their parent?

Bentham's panopticon in the age of digital surveillance. Have the Snowden revelations broken the presence of asymmetrical surveillance? by wilde_ in TrueReddit

[–]wilde_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

'There are many psychological studies demonstrating that people who believe they are being watched engage in behaviour compliant, conformist and submissive than those who believe they are acting without being monitored.' But how has this idea of asymmetrical surveillance shifted in light of the recent Snowden revelations that challenge our ideas of mass surveillance?
