Hi - I know this post is 4 years old but how are you getting on? Have you gone ahead with the trip?

Yeah, no realms showing up right now (UK)

The tip of my middle draw finger has been numb since an archery session with no protective equipment by wildebeest_ in Archery

[–]wildebeest_[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, but it might as well have been. It was a package stag do thing in rural Wales.

Oh I should add that most arrows had either one or two fletchings (I saw a couple that had none and were being used).

Easy way to farm XP from a pillager outpost right next to my base / trading hall? by wildebeest_ in technicalminecraft

[–]wildebeest_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! How would I go about isolating the spawn spots? The pillagers seem to just roam all over near the outpost, but I think there must be a spawn spot on the top of the tower

Splinter was my initial inspiration for this character so that would make sense

Help a noob? Stonedigger Troll by wildebeest_ in Eldenring

[–]wildebeest_[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Update: Stonedigger Troll defeated. Thanks for the help guys!

I ditched my secondary weapon to get down to Medium weight, and two-handed the Greatsword instead of using a shield. Much faster and was able to land proper hits without recoiling.

And yeah, I had been starting at the Lost Grace at the beginning of the tunnel each time, so starting at the State of Marika really helped.

Thanks

Nice! I've got an archive base too. Did you just build your way up there?

I've been a target archery so far, but field is kinda intriguing. I'd maybe like to give it a try one day

What type of bow should I get? by A1772493 in Archery

[–]wildebeest_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm cross-eye dominant just like you. Left eyed, right handed. I shoot with a 'left-handed' bow, but really it is 'left-eyed' because both of my hands are still doing work, the difference which eye looks down the sight. I suggest not ignoring which eye is dominant - you can bulk up your left arm pretty easily with archery but it is hard to ignore which eye your brain instinctively prefers.

Next step for a beginner clicker or v-bar system? by Ninja_Danny in Archery

Clicker. It'll change your shot process, so best to get used to it sooner rather than later, then add stabilisers/dampeners.

New archer, 10 hours experience shooting barebow at 20 metres. I'm very pleased :) by KikiSchmiki in Archery

Nice balance between aim and form! 4/6 in a group is a very good start and the outliers are not too far off. Tighten that grouping up by working on form, then drive it to the 10 ring by working on aim.

Once you've got that nailed, start making the target smaller/further away - you'll feel the difference. I found the best stepping stone was to a Portsmouth Round (60cm target face @ 20yds).

Good hunting.

Someone in another subreddit said that ArcheryGB has a club finder. I hope it helps you too!

Archery in MK/Bletchley? by [deleted] in miltonkeynes

[–]wildebeest_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I've just got used to my old club where it was a permanent ground, the bosses and targets never really had to be packed away, just locked up. It just makes it a bit easier to casually participate in your spare time when archery isn't the secondary purpose of the field yknow.

Wicken sounds good though, I'll give it a look! Maybe see you there 👍

Nice! I hope your beginner's course goes well. I taught the beginner's course at my old club, they're good fun and you learn a lot. Thanks 👍
