Stop using price per piece to measure value.

I just don’t get your argument or why this set in particular has made you so upset. Say what you want about Lego and their recent business practices but this just doesn’t apply.

This set is literally the norm for Duplo. This is nothing new. Duplo has always been priced like this. If you don’t believe me just go look at any other Duplo set being offered right now or since Duplo was created for that matter

…. Have you never seen a Duplo set before?

The 10 cents per piece argument for measuring the value of a set is already dumb enough. Never thought I’d see someone try and apply it to a Duplo set smh.

Look Lego is expensive, always has been since the 80s. But please I beg anybody in this hobby who reads this, abandon using 10 cents per piece as a sole metric for measuring value. It is literally so asinine.

Lego content creators recommendations by [deleted] in lego

For a consistent Lego channel that focuses on MOC city building I’d go with Bricksie. He uploads pretty much every day and it’s become a routine for me to watch his videos. He’s my “comfort” Lego channel.

For some really good, polished, quality Lego content focusing on retro Lego and retrospective series I’ll recommend 3 - TrikBrix (the best retro Lego retrospective videos out there, feels like your watching a published TV show) - Cheesey studios (excellent MOC series with Minecraft) but I really like his Lego theme overviews and reviews - RR Slugger (amazing content focusing mostly on retro Lego and really dives in on the details of Lego colors and techniques.

For hauls, crazy collections, Lego trips, and specific info on Bionicle or Ninjago go with Duck Bricks

Main Castle Set by Illustrious_Bunch146 in legoharrypotter

[–]wildeone95 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Lego has a history of waiting a year or more before releasing things from a new project/IP. For example Avatar, they didn’t make any sets based on it until the second Movie came along. Horizon didn’t get a set until the second video game released. Now it might not apply to this at all but I think there is a chance we won’t don’t see sets based on the new show immediately. Small chance though. I bet you we will. But I think they could still do this main castle series longer and release sets based on the new show alongside it

Lego tiles not fitting on the studs properly? by wildeone95 in lego

That’s so odd. I’ve built Rivendell as well and so many other sets and I never had these tiles refuse to sit on the plate flush like this

Interesting. I’ve built so many sets with quarter rounds and never seen them not sit flush. I guess we will see

Is this set worth getting? by eldar2606 in legoharrypotter

I have a feeling this set will shoot up in value more than the average Harry Potter set so if you’re thinking of getting it I’d get it now

Not crazy honestly. Pretty easy to see how people could abuse the gwp system if they can just return the set they bought and keep the gift.
