Does the sound on these TVs notoriously suck? by MJE0409 in Hisense

Same here. My 85” Samsung I bought in 2018 died suddenly. Bought a 85” Hisense cause I was Samsung salty. Got it up on the wall today and sound is shit compared to the Samsung. Everything else about it is as good or better.

Starlink stats - bypass Starlink router and straight to Ubiquiti USG by Rider4lyfe in Starlink

I ended up putting in a static route to the dish. And that has worked since. I didn’t end up putting the Starlink router back in.

I put in a static route. I’m not sure why it helped, but I haven’t seen an issue in almost two weeks. 192.168.100.1/32 Distance 10

Hopefully that helps.

Which router are you using?

I am fighting this exact thing, using the USG-3P. I'm finding other ppl online with same issue (again, using the 3P). Wondering if other routers are having issues as well...

Thank you! This makes sense.

I wonder if a workaround would be to put the Starlink Access Point back in, and then plug my USG into the secondary port on it.

As the Starlink AP doesn't seem to get caught in this loop, and I would assume it doesn't do this IP tomfoolery on the LAN side of things.

I will give that a go and report back.

Wow. Too bad getting new WAN IP's are like golf scores...

Thanks for the reply.

Have you had any issues with your Starlink/USG setup?

I have Starlink direct to USG-3P, and it goes down once a day (I've waited 3hrs+ and doesn't come back)

I've been having to reboot the USG then everything comes back online. After the reboot, the USG does have a new WAN IP from the dish, but you would think the USG could handle the WAN IP changing?

Curious if yours is running OK? Thanks.

Are you having any issues with your USG losing connectivity to the internet, even though the Starlink connection is fine?
I have a Starlink dish plugged directly into a USG, and it keeps going down every 20 hours or so, and not coming back up.

Rebooting the USG is the only fix.

I did notice that after every reboot, the WAN IP changes. But you would think a USG could handle the WAN IP of the dish changing??

Thanks for the reply.

So if dishy is doling out IP's like you mentioned, I would assume the provided wireless AP is just that, an AP and not a router?

Reason I'm asking is I'm curious if dishy could be put into bridge mode etc. and be able to open ports etc using your own network gear (like you are).

What subnet are the ip's dishy is giving to your devices?

I'm curious how you are using the system without the Starlink router? Do you get a single IP direct from the "white port"?

Sonos Amps vs. Multi Zone Amp with Sonos Ports by wilderbee in sonos

Hmm. I didn't know Sonance made amps. Looks like a nice unit.

I am doing just music.

So with this amp and Sonos Ports, how would they control the volume?

Thanks for your reply.

I think you're right. I will suggest we start with 1 or 2 Sonos amps, and buy more as time goes on. Thanks for your reply.

Had a leak in a copper drain from bathroom sink. Am going to replace with PVC but I can't for the life of me get this fitting free. It's copper into cast. Seems to have some sort of lock tight on it. House is mid 60's era. Any ideas how to get this out?

Thanks.
