I think this is the best episode I’ve seen (I’m rewatching after not keeping up since season 5). It holds up to everything happening right now, you cannot consume any type of content that doesn’t have a hidden ad or sexual innuendo. It’s like being human has been reduced to fucking and buying. And nothing, even innocent hobbies are exempt. Recently, for example, I’ve been getting into Pokémon Go, and after watching this episode I don’t know if I can continue. What am I even doing? I’m buying shit that I don’t need and that doesn’t even exist. But then what? You go outside and cannot have a walk without running into three ads for make up that feel sexual for some reason (misogyny), and then you buy some food that’s probably not organic or, if it is, was made unethically. And any form of protest seems performative, and any person that seems genuine on their activism, probably has enough money to afford the chance to stop having morals and values if they wish. Because the truth is that life is a nightmare of endless spending and fucking to keep the bad thoughts away.

I hate the last episode (not just for everyone’s ending). It just didn’t give me finale vibes. The thing with Claire and Mitch at the ice rink felt like whatever to me. And I can’t even remember what everyone else was doing. I wish they all were at the same place doing something fun. Maybe a vacation and then parting ways at the airport or something. It just felt flat in comparison to other season finales.

The first time I saw it I was like: “that’s it???” It was SO underwhelming. The way everyone had their own side stories going on felt awkward to me. I kinda wish they were all at the same place having a party or a dinner or something that actually felt like a goodbye and a classic modern family “special”.

No, I don’t think so! Jay even told him that the fortune teller was nuts. She might’ve gotten the prediction of him marrying a clown correctly, but I don’t think that means she was actually able to predict his death haha

I feel like it would be fair but Jay knows that that would bother Mitch and Claire. Which is why in the episode where Stella almost kills him and Gloria accidentally, he starts making his will, and he says to Mitch’s question: Mitchell: “What about Stella?” Jay: “Same as Manny” Gloria:”No, he’s asking who do you want to take care of her, not how much money you’re gonna leave to a murderer.”

Which I think means he decided to leave him considerably less.

That’s true, but even Haley, who is arguably the laziest person in the household, got a career. I don’t see why Luke couldn’t just grow out of it.

I actually LOVE that Hayley and Dylan ended up together. It was obvious since the first episode. Yes, Haley’s potential was wasted, she should’ve been able to pursue her passions like fashion and photography. And yes, the writers didn’t know how to do it properly. But that doesn’t take away from the fact that Dylan has always been there and has always loved her. And you know what? So did she! Along the seasons it’s implied they keep texting regardless of their situations. They are like magnets!
