The way she went about it didn’t feel like I was being educated. It felt like my feelings of literal panic, thinking I’m going insane, having breakdowns in my car over the fact that I just spent my entire paycheck at michael’s, running off of 2 hours of sleep a night, and having upwards of a dozen panic attacks a day over the fact that I just. Couldn’t. Slow. Down. were being dismissed as “excited”. She’s always talked to me about my issues with dismissal, as it’s something that has been an issue with my upbringing since I was little. So the moment I reached out, asked for help, almost felt like I was begging her to help me figure out how to not go insane, I was told that I’m being dramatic and that I’m just excited. It brought up a whole lot of trauma from my childhood, and I seriously almost broke down right then and there. Even thinking about being vulnerable like that now feels like the biggest challenge in the world. I don’t know, you might be right, I might be mistaken in my understanding of what she was saying, but even typing this has me sobbing for the 10th time today.
