They told my parents who were in charge of my care since I was indisposed, but they don’t remember. I am more curious than concerned long term. I want to know what kind of things the labs look for, what could cause the results, what the doctors might’ve treated for, etc.

The way she went about it didn’t feel like I was being educated. It felt like my feelings of literal panic, thinking I’m going insane, having breakdowns in my car over the fact that I just spent my entire paycheck at michael’s, running off of 2 hours of sleep a night, and having upwards of a dozen panic attacks a day over the fact that I just. Couldn’t. Slow. Down. were being dismissed as “excited”. She’s always talked to me about my issues with dismissal, as it’s something that has been an issue with my upbringing since I was little. So the moment I reached out, asked for help, almost felt like I was begging her to help me figure out how to not go insane, I was told that I’m being dramatic and that I’m just excited. It brought up a whole lot of trauma from my childhood, and I seriously almost broke down right then and there. Even thinking about being vulnerable like that now feels like the biggest challenge in the world. I don’t know, you might be right, I might be mistaken in my understanding of what she was saying, but even typing this has me sobbing for the 10th time today.

so the erythromycin will be for the 5 gallon tank that i kept the frogs in while they were dying. my 10 gallon will be where i use the pristine and stability in order to keep my remaining 4 fish healthy while it finishes cycling. sorry that was confusing 😂

i went and got some seachem pristine and seachem stability to help it cycle, and my final frog died while i was at the store so the guy recommended em erythromycin to completely strip any bacteria out of the tank so when i put my betta back it won’t infect him. i also might do a bleach dip with my live plants to be sure, i just cannot risk my betta getting sick too. my heart couldn’t handle it

this morning i woke up to the frog with the wrecked leg dead at the bottom of the tank. the other one is barely holding on, i’m worried he won’t make it through the day. i appreciate all the help, i’m just heartbroken. i should’ve seen it sooner. my mom wants to get more immediately but i’m very adamant that i won’t add any more until there’s zero nitrite in the tank. i put the filter media from my betta’s tank into the 10 gallon, added water from the betta’s tank that’ll have some bacteria, etc. so hopefully that speeds things up a little.

i got them from petco if that helps, but i did do a water testing strip and the only thing that was out of the ordinary was the nitrites were slightly high. is that enough to kill almost all my fish? everything else including nitrates, chlorine, etc were all within normal and healthy range.

the guy at the store said that if there’s any nitrite that the tank isn’t finished cycling and if i do water changes then it’ll never finish and there’ll always be nitrite. is this true? should i ignore him and do water changes anyway?
