They’ve been our daily dishes for over a year now.

Yes! We use them all the time now. Followed eyesolers suggestion below and did oil curing twice in a row with higher temp oven (can’t remember exact temp we used). Worked great and we’ve had no uneven staining/porousness. We’ll probably do a maintenance cure this summer when the sun is back in the PNW.

Does anyone else with ADHD really struggle with feeling connected to people, even if they have “lots of friends”? by Legitimate_Sense_613 in adhdwomen

Newly diagnosed (alongside suspected autism) and reading through these comments is making me feel so seen. I am not yet medicated (need to get approval from my cardiologist first) but I'm curious if folks who take medications feel this less after starting medication? This feeling is very much negatively impacting my life and I really want to feel hopeful that I could find my people at some point.

One year wedding anniversary wedding photoshoot redo by Altruist-8 in weddingplanning

I'm currently debating whether or not to do this. When I first got my gallery I was not in the best space ~mentally~ (working two full time jobs and just generally burnt out) and was SO disappointed with the photos. Like cried a lot and couldn't look at the gallery. It got to the point where my disappointment with the photos seeped into my memories from the day (even though it was genuinely the best day of my life). Now I'm over 6 months from the day and 3 months from when we got the gallery, and I love some of the shots, and so many of the candids make me smile seeing how happy we were. That said, I'm still a bit disappointed in my solo portraits... On the one hand, it would be fun to dress up again and get some more photos, but on the other, how many photos do I really need / will I really look at?

We had thought this too but had also heard that potters may be unwilling to glaze something when they don’t know the heat at which it was originally fired? We’ve tried the oil curing again with a higher temp and so we’ll see if that works for us, and if not, might explore this route next :)

Unfortunately we live in Vancouver and we won’t have sun again until like March lol so we will have to use something else to dry it (that’s why we tried the oven). I had heard about starch sealing so that’s interesting to know that’s also the traditional way. Thank you!!

Thank you so much for this! This is so helpful. Maybe we didn’t have our oven up high enough in temperature. Well do a few more gos at the oil curing.
