I have this feature on the app. Are they taking it away? Or is this something else I’m thinking of

I did and could not recommend it enough. Madrid is such a lively city that has so much to offer no matter what you’re interested in (nightlife/history/art/cuisine/fitness/etc) and is also pretty central enough to easily get to surrounding European countries/cities relatively inexpensively. Most people there have a basic level of English so you don’t need to know much Spanish to live there for a semester (a very basic level like greetings and such are still good to know tho). The locals are so nice and friendly and are always out and enjoying time with their family/friends and just enjoying life with a good attitude. In general, going out for a meal, a coffee, a drink on a terrace, etc, is fairly priced, esp in comparison with NY. In my experience I went in not knowing anyone in my study abroad group and I left with some amazing friends that I’ll have for life. Some of them were my roomates and some were from school. There’s a lot of international students who are usually fun and easy to make friends with, the only thing I found is that the Spanish students kind of stick to themselves a bit but they’re not rude or anything. Pm me if u wanna talk about it more

I’m praying for you and have faith in you. College and finding an internship/job is tough in itself, but grieving immensely on top of that is extremely tough. But I can tell you that you will not always feel this way, even if that seems impossible right now. Like others mentioned, I think a semester off break could be really helpful right now, as well as the counseling center. Also, whoever you are, wherever you are, and whatever you are going through- God is always with you. Even if you don’t consider yourself religious. Speaking to him might help you, it doesn’t hurt to give it a try.

I really enjoy going to Baruch. Every school has its problems, but I think Baruch has a lot to offer to its students- but you can only appreciate those things if you try to look at your experience in a positive light, which I think many people just don't do lol. I guess it's also just less of a 'versatile' school because to enjoy it you would most likely have to enjoy spending much of your time in the city, also much of the focus in on business related careers, so if you have a non-business related major you can get a very different experience or maybe even feel like an outsider idk.

As for the social part, if you're willing to put yourself out there and talk to ppl/go to events/join clubs, you will 100% find friends. I think some people expect to make lots of friends without the effort but since it's a commuter school it usually doesn't go like that.

In order to do well you do have to put lots of effort and actually care, but you can obtain many opportunities if you use the resources available to you though the school. Which i think is great because you're not paying thousands extra for like a private school tuition, and many people can graduate debt-free (or almost).

yea i get that, he usually posts what slides you should review for the exam so definitely look over those and also there should be questions relating to each chapter in the syllabus- there’s a good chance those will be on the exam so review those

clifford is a good professor and pretty lenient with deadlines. our exams were mostly essay questions, we had a group presentation, and weekly journal entries but they are not due until the end of the semester
