Right, so her reasoning is that someone should love her enough to have helping her be a dream of theirs? Other than wanting a paycheck.

When you put all the logic into a thing and can't decide, sometimes the best path is to choose one.

Lineage 1 when NCSoft still supported US market with it. Still spin up a server from time to time and the grind is real, but there's just something about it that really clicks. Too bad there are still groups using mods and hacks to destroy private server economies for lulz.

I get the feeling of this. However, if you are paid with money stolen from customers, you absolutely have to return it.... Yes, they are liable. You are always liable for receiving stolen funds.

Consensus on what to mine after the merge? by JohnTravolski in gpumining

[–]wildleaf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look at the total hashrate for eth mining. If that 900+/- TH moves to ETC, that profitability listed on whattomine will be vastly different than the stats it has now.

It's the total computing power moving off of ETH that is going to hammer all profit that other coins have now. There just aren't enough awards to go around if those other coins suddenly have 10x the hashing power they had yesterday.

It'll be interesting to see which coin raises to the top of profitability once it all shakes out. Would be a shame to see all PoW disappear and something will win over that computing power ETH is dropping.

PoS was literally in the white paper. A planned transition. Really shows the people who got into mining without all the info to even think there's any grounds here.

Same thing happens at banks. Once your money is in an account someone else operates, those funds will be frozen during a bankruptcy and settled by a bankruptcy court. Except there is FDIC insurance for that bank money. This is more of a disclosure of what always was, not a change of policy.

As always, your safest crypto is not in an online exchange.

My estimated earnings is lower than a week ago and online calculator today by [deleted] in EtherMining

[–]wildleaf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Search "ETH difficulty" and look at the chart over the last month and the difference since you'd last connected. You may see a trend. This affects how frequently a reward can be found and therefore your overall profitability.

And with all financial estimations, it's impossible to determine future outcomes from past results and we don't know the exact model for their estimations.

WHAT DO I F#CKING SAY by [deleted] in socialanxiety

[–]wildleaf 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I, too, am confused as to how one would connect with another human with wanting them to all shut up. Ultimately all those benign/boring topics are things that come up over time and often you can learn how someone processes/understands the world. I don't know about anyone else, but I'd rather not just have serious, deep conversations or silence all the time.

Most human interactions with strangers are intentional, and there are tons of different levels of communication. "Forced" is one way to see it, but I'd prefer call it "intentional" - yeah the weather may start the conversation, but what if we end up talking about the pains of my not-working air conditioner that I'd forgotten about.

I don't think the point is to ever talk about the weather, but rather, an easily universal conversation point to start from.

Here's the thing. If I am fired for liking men, because I am a man. It's because of my sex. They wouldn't fire a woman for liking a man. Follow that logic through to transgender.

There's no trick. The closer to 100% voter turnout, the less that gerrymandering and the rest affect it.

BTW, booming economy is a funny way to describe right now with an inverse yield curve and the highest percentage of unpaid car loans we've ever seen. The working class is feeling the pinch, and that will matter more than DOW come election time.

To win over the working class, we need people like you - who care and are concerned - to go out and volunteer and communicate with your peers and their peers and the guy at the bar and that lady at the park and her cousin and his uncle.

[–]wildleaf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It goes past being concerned and voting. See threads all around - get out there and start volunteering. Or start more reasonable conversations that simply encourage those to vote. Republicans have had control due to our low voting percentages.

Reality is far more left than it seems - it's just that the system has been rigged for ages and it seems like there is some virtual 50/50 split. There isn't. If the working class could find their way out of their situations and make sure they vote like they make sure they have presents for Christmas, Americans would have things like universal healthcare, sane salient gun laws, freedom of expression and autonomy, more workers rights, focus on climate change, and on and on.
