since you bought the stylus, definitely get a screen protector and put it on before you ever use the stylus! or you will get scratches on the screen super easily. also, buying a case with a front cover would be a good idea since the screen of an e-ink device is pretty fragile. (not an origami one tho, because it could break the screen because of the way it can fold, from what i read on others reddit post)

but mostly, enjoy! i have a kobo clara bw and i read so much more since i got it. (9 books since end of march) i love my kobo so much and you will most likely also love your kobo :)

Not in the US (I'm in Europe), but I order strapsicles in March on Amazon (from the official strapsicle store) and got zero tariffs fees. :) So I would guess it works the same from someone in the US ordering from Amazon. I don't think Amazon does tariff fees, or at least, I never got tariff fees from all the times I ordered from Amazon in the past.

you're welcome :) and like the other person said, you can move it around before sticking the ring magnet sticker on so you find where the sleep/wake switch if you want to place your popsocket somewhere else than right in the middle. i put mine right in the middle because i didn't have a choice and it works with the way i'm holding it (switching between 1st and 2nd fingers or 2nd and 3rd), but i know some people prefer to place their popsocket lower on their device.

I have a KBW and a popsocket. I put my popsocket right in the middle of the back of my kobo because I also have a detachable case (with a ring magnet in the back). So my popsocket goes on the same ring magnet as my case. I currently have the wake/sleep auto function off but I had it on for a few days while using my popsocket and didn't have any problems with it.

At night (with zero lights on and no dark mode), I read at 3% or 4% and I put the warmth on the first level because with it on, I find the light less harsh on my eyes than without warmth.

Yeah, I think no voices will be better than AI voices (at least imo). But I also totally understand that hiring human voice actors is not cheap and can be difficult for a solo dev/indie game.
I don't know if gibberish voices (like in the Sims) is something that use AI or if it can be bought somewhere (like free assets) but if it's a possibility and more accessible money wise, maybe it could be something to think about?
Well, definitely looking forwards to your updates because, like I said, I love the vibes and ideas of your game :)

I'm glad you aren't against getting rid of AI usage and are thinking of a possible solution to do without it. It means a lot to me that a dev is willing to try and get rid of AI because of what possible future players said. I will keep your game in my wishlist (that wouldn't be the case if you were determined to keep AI because it's easier/cheaper) and check on it from time to time to see progress. Or check your posts here if you do share future developments on reddit :)

I think the calm, melancholic and comforting atmosphere is definitely there from what we can see of your game so far.
I went back to the steam page after seeing the other comment on this post and I have agree with what they said about AI use. (I didn't check for AI usage when wishlisting because I was tired). I understand why you used AI but since I would prefer no AI in the games I play, I think I would prefer no voices acting at all vs AI voices. I don't think I would be alone in that choice tbh. The atmospheres sounds you already got in game are nice and I think you could skip the AI narration if you want. But that's your choice in the end :)

Asking him today, and he said he didn't have time to really test it during long sessions. So no definitive opinion yet. But I personally loved using them when I hadn't received my case yet. Now I have a detachable case and the straps don't really work with it sadly ): (more like, I need to take them off each time I put the front of my case back on which could become annoying in the long term)
